Fresh Ideas Washable Australian Wool & Cotton Comforter, King

We have one like this that we paid almost double for, glad I found this one here. Excellent quality, it washes and dries well. One of my better online purchases. This same item can be found at several retailers. Walmart has the best price. Will most likely order another one.

I live in a very cold area of the high desert. The winds make it worse. I wanted a weighted blanket but warm as well, so this fit the bill perfectly! As it's wool there is a very low loft, like felt is. I was aware of what it would look like but for those that haven't used anything other than poly fill the thinness can be and is deceiving in comparison to warmth. It's much more like a quilt in that way. It has a smell which is the natural wool . Air it out or tumble with a dryer sheet on low and it will dissipate . Not a bother but something to be aware of. Very worth the cost which is reasonable . I would purchase again if I needed another one.

I decided to try Australian Wool after having Hungarian White goose down for over 20 years. My old comforter literally fell apart so I needed something quick. I am amazed at the quality of the cotton. Don't let the low thread count fool you. It feels like a 300 or 400 thread count. So soft I love it. Wool feels heavier than down. This comforter is perfect for the winter months. It might be too heavy for summer but I'll use it like a body pillow. The quality and workmanship is amazing. I highly recommend this product to all. I use this comforter with a percale duvet cover and it's perfect. It keeps me warm without overheating. Things that might be negatives for others: The outer fabric is crisp cotton which I love but it's not buttery and quiet. It's not fluffy or lofty which I wasn't sure about at first but it's so comfy! When I first opened it there was a definite wool/sheepskin smell. I aired it outside for a few hours on a clothes drying rack, the dryer set to low or cool probably would've worked too

I wanted a cotton and wool comforter and this one is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect weight and nice feel. Would work great with a duvet cover. I'll be buying another for a second bedroom. Price is great- I recommend.

I ordered the king size. It's not even large enough to cover all of the corners of the bed simultaneously. It literally curves off the top of the mattress by about 2 inches on one side. I don't have an abnormal king bed. I have a regular size king bed. And they sold me $100 comforter that is not big enough to cover a king mattress. It's a nice comforter, but it is not remotely large enough.

The cost isn't justified in my opinion. The look of it is better in the photo.
