I love the Italian parsley. I use it and everything. But the last four deliveries have been curly leaf parsley. Believe it or not there is a difference. I just don't feel like getting on the phone and complaining about a dollar and be on the phone 30 minutes or an hour to get it credit on my card for a dollar. Tell your shoppers to get it right.
Italian parsley adds so much more flavor to a dish than the curly version (but, without the 'personality' of cilantro). That being said, I get my groceries delivered and I rarely get Italian parsley when I order it. I end up with the curly parsley. Maybe the pickers are not familiar with other types of parsley and just grab what they know. When I do get it it has always been fresh. And, it lasts a long time if I put the stems in water before I put it into the refrigerator. Nice to have on hand.
The shoppers send me curly instead of flat leaf parsley. Even when I ask for no replacement. The last two times it arrived without a bag to hold it and the parsley comes to the house limp and sad. It won’t keep for more than today. I know it’s much better when I shop for it personally. This is a sturdy herb I should be able to use throughout the week.
Every time I order it they give me cilantro or curled parsley with out asking me if I want that as a substitution and all three of these all taste completely different. Groceries aren’t cheap either so it sucks wasting my money on something i didn’t want.
I'm tired of getting cilantro instead of parsley!!! The people who process orders at this store don't even look at the labels! It's not just the herb stuff, it's also the apples, potatoes, and so on. They don't care what you order or how much you pay. No one controls them!
Produce has been coming horrible. This parsley was delivered wilted, and got mold within a day! I keep trying to say….shoppers need to have ice packs( at the very least) to keep items cold. Walmart should supply these things, so customers receive items in the best condition. You don’t want anyone to get sick!🤢 This service is convenient for a disabled person….care should be taken be taken while shopping/ packing…ensuring quality.
This parsely should have been removed from being able to be sold. It was disgusting and not edible. I believe the shoppers should be told to shop as if they were taking the items home for themselves and their families. A few weeks ago I received a bag of small cucumbers and they were all soft and slimy.
My bunch of parsley was just on the verge of wilting and becoming totally useless. I managed to revive it by running the bunch under cold water and then drying with several paper towels. I was able to get enough parsley to prepare the dish I wanted to cook but the remaining parsley was thrown into the trash. What a shame that Walmart doesn’t train their employees on how to pick out the best possible herbs that a customer has asked for. I don’t trust Walmart to complete my pickups without some kind of hassle …. Products ordered are not in bags …. Things you didn’t order are in bags and when questioning the delivery person all he can say is “Well, all of this has been scanned so it’s yours.” Not what I want to hear. But, since I can no longer shop in the store because of my health, I have to rely on the “Shoppers” to get my order correct. You think they would care enough to imagine they are shopping for themselves and pick out products that they themselves would want to use.
If I could consistently get the Italian parsley that I order, the rating would be 5 star! But some of the shoppers don't seem to know the difference between curly parsley and flat leaf parsley. I do know the difference and use flat leaf every day, in all my cooking and just to munch on. Curly parsley has a harsher, peppery flavor compared to Italian. The 2 are not interchangeable in the dishes I prepare. It has been hit or miss with my last couple of orders and although I only order the Italian, I have been getting the wrong kind!
What I received was cilantro, not parsley as I had ordered. It looks good and smells fresh but I can' t use it in the recipe I was going to make...today
