i buy this for my rabbit its always fresh but im concerned about how much you receive in a bunch previously a bunch i purchased was so small i couldn't believe it took 3 bunches to make up past bunches i purchased i really don't mind paying more but when you purchase one large stock of kale you don't expect 3 tiny stocks
i love FRESH kALE .... overall I would give 9.5 sometimes it has a lot of sand / soil that takes a lot to rinse it off...... size of nuch - not sure if it is weighed at the mfg .... but sometimes it is very small and then I have receiuved a larger bunch (which I love)
I order the fresh kale regularly, and when it’s packed well, it’s some of the best I’ve found for the price. You usually get a nice, full bunch, plenty of leaves, and great for salads, stir-fries, or my rabbits’ meals. The price is very reasonable for how much you get. The only downside is that you can’t see what you’re getting beforehand since there’s just a stock photo. If the bunch is packed loosely and stays cool, it arrives fresh and crisp. But if it’s overstuffed in a hot bag or not wrapped properly, it wilts or spoils overnight even before I have a chance to use it. Would love to see better care taken with packaging since kale is delicate and doesn’t hold up to heat or moisture. When it’s handled right, though, it’s perfect.
Most most of the time your produce is fresh. I have went unfortunately and found so many things, not I feed my Guinea. Pigs and my rabbit Cale romaine leafy lattice, anything they can have from there, carrots, apples and most of the time they are fresh. I got to say that. Never realized how much produce and fresh produce is so important they're not just us, but to them.( My animals) i try very hard to give them good food. Keep them healthy. So please don't think anybody's not watching or don't doesn't care, because produce is very important. Well stocked, add large variety, most of the time y'all have it aboveboard, just every now and then doesn't go that way. I used to working produce at the old canal vellere in town way back in the day we took a lot of pride in our work, our manager made sure that we knew what to do. And how to do it? Make sure your employees know that it's really important. I know, this is not really a review. Just a few words, and I hope someone reads it. Being the only store in town is great. But don't make you customers feel like that.
I’m more than happy with the size of the bunch, but I take issue with produce being shoved in a grocery bag without the produce bag liner. It’s reasonable to assume this was thrown into a dirty cart with no protection from god knows what germs and other mess. Then bagged only at checkout. What’s more, the bag was dumped on my front porch with half of the kale lying on the ground. And these delivery drivers expect a tip upfront! What a joke. They need a lesson in how to properly care for produce.
I clearly ordered KALE and got parsley instead - I just saw this when I opened the produce bag for use. Recent orders have had similar mistakes. Shopping level has deteriorated. Shoppers don't seem to know the products. This is frustrating and ultimately costly.
The Kale was completely wilted. Why doesn't the store manager do a better job with training her people and maybe give them a complement when they do a good job. This isn't the first time. It seems the some of the kids working there are very apathetic, I'm sorry, but it starts from the top. I've complained to corporate about her before, regarding her meat department. Maybe it's a bit better since I got reported bad meat on several occ. The USDA takes this pretty serious.
I normally do not request any fresh produce for delivery because Walmart produce seems to be a hit or a miss. I normally shop for my own fresh produce at Albertsons or Kroger. But I was feeling lazy...never ever will request delivery of fresh produce from Walmart. The Kale was flopping around like a mop not crisp at all. Whoever was the shopper for me just didn't care.
I had my order delivered. The Kale was wilted and yellowed, not at all the quality I expect from fresh produce. I can't use it. Very disappointed that the shopper for my order would think this is acceptable. Perhaps they don't know any different, surely it doesn't match the surrounding vegetables and their coloring.
I have ordered kale from several stores, I have received parsley, cilantro, and even a head of cabbage. I understand not everyone knows there vegetables, especially Walmart employees, however I thought they could read labels and tags on items. I received a wilted bunch of cilantro this time wrapped in a twisty tie, with a label that clearly says it's not kale.
