This 1lb bag of key limes was fantastic. The limes were all fresh, bright green, and wonderfully fragrant. They're much smaller than regular limes, so the 1lb bag had plenty for my key lime pie recipe, with several left over for cocktails. They were incredibly juicy and had that perfect, intensely tart flavor you can only get from real key limes. A great buy!
never really used keylimes they look to small. BUT after trying them they actually have more jucie then the big pretty ones. with a little more of twist to the taste. i used them primarily in my beer. yes that right. corona. i can get 4 beer worth from one of these limes. now thats thinking like a man. lol
I recently purchased the Fresh Produce Fresh Key Limes (1 lb Bag) and was very happy with the quality. The limes were fresh, firm, and had a bright green color. They were juicy and packed with that perfect tangy flavor that key limes are known for. They worked wonderfully for homemade key lime pie, marinades, and even adding a splash of fresh citrus to drinks. I also appreciated that most of the limes were a consistent size, making them easy to use for recipes. Overall, this bag offers great freshness and flavor at a good value. I would definitely buy them again for cooking and baking!
Key Limes are the best tasting limes anywhere, and I can’t really say what the difference is between a Key lime and a Persion lime. The taste is distinctive; you know if it’s a Key lime when you taste it. In my opinion, it’s not as bitter as a Persion lime, although it’s a stronger flavor. The downside is that they’re so small, you need more of them in order to make anything. I love an icy glass of limeade while sitting on my porch. I should plant a Key Lime tree!
These were exactly the limes I needed for my key lime pies. I used both the juice and the zest in my recipes. I will say they are a smaller lime than the Persian ones you are used to seeing. If you want a truly authentic taste for your pies you need to use these.
Excellent limes. I was able to get 1/2 cup of juice from 7 limes. They are a bit more difficult to zest due to their thinner skins but are still top quality. I will be replacing the “regular” limes moving forward. I squeezed and froze the remaining limes with some zest for recipes that require a couple tbsps of juice.
Do NOT let the small size fool you - these bad babies are loaded with juice and flavor to match. I was discouraged when I saw how small they were and hoped and prayed they would give enough juice for the street tacos I'd made. They finished the flavor profile beautifully.
Alarms are fresh, very green, and keep well. . Of course they make great key lime pie/desserts, and taste much fresher than bottles juice. I like having these around. I appreciate that Walmart has them most of the time whereas they can be hard to find.
I love them I put them in my water I usually order everytime but my order got mixed up last time because of me I had pick up not delivery so I had to start all over I got double taco chips I didn’t get my limes and a few other things but when I call they will check and see what I pd for and if I did refund it or send it out the fruit is always the best
they were small and rotted! I wish the shopper would take the time to look at the produce that they are picking. if they see that something is old, rotted, looks dried out, or smells funny and they know is something they wouldn't eat. don't pick it for someone else to eat it!
