These are always hard when I get them so you need to put them in a paper bag not plastic, and let them sit on your counter for a few days to get soft but you have to check them every day for softness, there may be only one or two that are soft but the others will get soft as well. Then when they get soft put in fridge.
Large avocados, not fully ripe which is perfect. I let them sit out a couple days and then put them in the fridge. Right before I cut one I put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it makes it peel and come out of the skin so easily, and it doesn't impact the taste at all. Even makes it a little creamier and easier to mix.
This bag of avocados was very mushy upon arrival. They will have to be eaten within 2 days maximum (very mushy to the touch). It would be good if the shoppers knew what the customer expected (like less ripe), but your website does not offer a way to communicate that to the shopper when placing the order.
I love avocado toast. But I haven't been able to get these in good shape the last 2 times I have purchased these. Walmart used to put 4 or 5 in sack that would be excellent and last thru the week. The last 2 times, I got 3 in sack and they turned bad in 2 days. Couldn't eat!
Ordering produce for delivery is hit or miss. Depending on who is doing your shopping will determine if your produce is in good condition or not. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered avocados they came to me rotten, and one was busted open and you could literally see it decaying. Obviously this means the shopper did a poor job. They would not have bought rotten food for themselves but are totally fine with giving it to paying customers. Walmart needs to train their employees better.
again, had to throw away.. they arw the worst ive ever had. flavor, thier stringy like coarse hair. they turn brown on inside and stink! 1 bite and you nearly never want to eat them again. shows from Columbia... why not California? Sams club gets them.. i will pay more for better quality creamy and delicious! it is part of my diet, am diabetic need daily.. its upsetting when you cant eat your food
For over a month you have been selling the most disgusting avocados from Colombia. They’re bright green and then few days you start to feel how the peel separates from the avocado and when you open it it has black spots throughout the avocados. The first ones I though I just had bad luck. But I buy many avocado pero month and I have not had a single good avocado. I will have to stop buying avocados altogether because I don’t have a way to know where they’re from!
Recently I had been purchasing good quality avocados the label says MADE IN PERU and they were absolutely delicious, but these avocados that were delivered this week were so so bad I don’t know what country they’re from but, I don’t recommend them.
What looked and felt like “just right “ to cut in half avacadoes, were black inside. Wish we had taken pictures of them. Out of the last three bags, we’ve had to throw 3/4 away. They are too expensive to be tossing, but we kept buying, hoping the next bag would be better. For an undecided time, we will not be purchasing any more avacadoes from Walmart. I’m not sure if other stores are having the same issue with ruined avacadoes.
All the avocados I have purchased recently never ripened! They were hard as rock from the beginning to end. I don’t know what happened but they used not do this, they would be hard when I first got them but after being left out they would soften up (ripen) in a relatively short period of time (usually 2 to 3 days) but about the last 5 times they are hard when I get them and never ripened and get semi-soft all over, they just get spots where the skin feels kind of bubbled up and separated from the fleshy part and when I cut into them they are truly nasty! They all end up in the trash, what a waste of money and a real let down because i love avocados 😢
