These are the best apples we have ever had. They are not hard, taste incredible. Our only problem with them is that we can only buy them when they are in season. We buy a bag about every 2 to 3 weeks. Thank you grower for sharing your great apple . Thank you Walmart for having this apple while it is in season.
I'm not a big apple person, but I wanted to try these cuz I know I like yellow better than the red. yellow apples tend to have a thinner outside skin, making it easier to bite into. wow, these are sweet and I actually really like them and have bought them three times now. on their own, with a bit of peanut butter, or sliced on a salad.
Opals are my favorite apple. I like these bags because you get a good value for two pounds. I prefer to buy them in person versus delivery so I can pick the least damaged bag, there’s usually one or two with bruises. They get more bruised up as apple season comes to a close so if that bothers you, be sure to buy in person. These bags contain smaller sized apples which are good for lunch boxes for kids and the taste is outstanding.
Wish I could buy these year round. It's getting harder and harder to find a good apple. I missed these when they went away after first buying them last year. Was so happy to see them back in stock. Apparently so were many others - have ordered them several times only to be out of stock.
I haven’t been able to find golden delicious apples (yellow apples) so when I saw these I had to try. Yellow apples are the only apple I really like. These opal apples obviously aren’t the same as golden delicious but they are close enough. I’ve been craving yellow apples and I have not found a store that carries them
Opal apples are my absolute favorite variety of apple and I'm ecstatic that Walmart carries them, even if it's only during one season. I will purchase them every trip I make as long as they're in stock. They have a mildly sweet but earthy taste, slight crisp but not too crunchy. They're not overly sweet like the popular honeycrisps that I despise.
I am so glad I tried these apples! They taste so wonderful. The size is perfect not too big not too small the perfect size for snacking or an evening snack. They are sweet and crispy. I love that they are organic and I love the flavor it’s almost like a pear-apple taste! I highly recommend these apples!
If you order for delivery, you may not get them because people don't know/want to look for them. I ordered them on delivery yesterday evening and was told they didn't have them. Today I ordered them for delivery and got them. overall the apples are exactly what I wanted.
These are new to me and on my qwest to have an apple a day, I wanted to find a few more economical apples that I would like as much as or more than the expensive honey crisp apples. These have a very unique and pleasant flavor although they are not as firm as the apples I typically enjoy. Hopefully these are not just seasonal and will be available often.
The problem is not with apples, it is with the person that picked them out. I love shopping on line but half the time if I get produce it comes and part of it produce has to be thrown out. Last week it was the bananas this week it is about half the apples are all bruised. I never send in a complaint but groceries are so expensive and I feel I have to say something. I am very disappointed about this because it has been so many times. Don’t know if anything can be done but someone has to speak up. Thank you for reading this. Rhonda Higginbotham
