Most often these apples are very fresh and crispy. This was my third time I reorder these Gala organic apples. I have had only 1 bad apple packed in a bag but the rest of the apples in the bag are great. They are not large but just right for me. I bit into one then I smear the apple with almond butter which is a great protein product! Very yummy.
Apples or apples they each have their variety within their own flavor. Gala is our gala and they taste like gala. They’re good. They’re crispy. They have a great slightly sweet taste not too sweet but sweet not like a Honeycrisp and not sour like a Fuji but very good. Refreshing, thirst quenching and hay, It’s an apple. It keeps the doctor away. Right? That makes it a good day and besides they’re healthy! And doesn’t everyone need fiber anyways? I can’t think of a tastier way to get it..
Organic! Yes, it matters. These apples are juicy, sweet, and Ive never had a bad apple in any bag Ive bought. I peel , core, and slice very thin. Will be slicing very thin for my salads next time. Trust me, THIS is the apple youd want to add some flavor to a salad.
These apples…idk if I like or dislike them. 🤨 Maybe it's the type of apple I don't like, they seem to get mealy fast (the first 1-2 are crunchy, the rest are hit or miss) and don't have much flavor 🤷🏼♀️ Many times I cut into them and am thankful my kiddo hates biting the apples because the centers are rotten. I know this happens with organic because they aren't treating for pests, but there are still things that can be done to prevent this happening as OFTEN as it does (I would say 75% have a rotten center across multiple bags). My kid is the main consumer of the apples in our house and he enjoys they but there tends to be a lot of waste (always bruised as well so the bruises get wasted as well as much of the core due to the rot in the middle) and they're often times super small size wise. 🤷🏼♀️ Could be better, could be worse.
Poor quality. Requested refund and told to bring to store. Called AI customer service, that was impersonal and not a good experience and told to bring to store or too bad and no refund. What a joke. May start shopping elsewhere. And good luck even located customer service contact info. Hidden deep within app. Walmart quality going downhill in a regards, even the food quality.
There were three rotten apples in the bag. Walmart was good about the return however. So we just decided to pick our own apples out from now on. I also had a problem with the sweet potatoes being terrible. I don't know who does the shopping but they don't care what kind of junk they give you!
I love organic Gala apples. Unfortunately, the produce was not inspected. It’s not gonna stop me from Buying organic Gala apples I just wish the person in the produce department did a better job. I did not personally pick these out. It was a pick up order, but I am disappointed that I didn’t see it before I got home I would like a refund. It would be nice to be able to take them back to the store but unfortunately I’m charged insurance by the mileage.
Liked the price, but people who select produce need to be aware, or trained what to look for when selecting items. I had a suspicion as soon as I touched the sticky bag. These apples are damaged with rotten areas, marks and who knows about the taste. I surely won't be tasting them.
If I'm being honest I try my best to not buy produce from Walmart. I've had many bad experiences. apples are one of those things that I always prioritize buying organic when the budget allows or just skip it all together... but the children love them. so of course I try. I have had this exact issue probably every time - the bag looks mostly okay from the outside, perhaps with some visible very small spots that may look a little soft. okay, I understand because possibly it had a rough journey before it made it to my house. no worries. I go to put the apples and the fruit bowl and (vomit) This is what you will see inside the bag, typically more than one apple, of a bag that costs more than conventional apples. I do not know why at the other grocery stores I do not have this problem with produce nearly as often as I do with Walmart. maybe just skipped these and save yourself the headache.
6/10 apples in the bag had rotten spots, deep bruises, cuts. For $7/bag, I expected better quality produce. This is unacceptable. Disappointed again, this will be my last produce purchase by online ordering. Your store needs to improve quality control.
