THE PLUOTS WERE VERY FRESH AND TASTY. I REALLY ENJOYED EATING SOMETING I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT UNTIL MY SISTER TOLD ME TO TRY THEM. SINCE I LOVE TO PUT MY FRUIT IN THE FREEZER, THAT'S WHAT I DID AND IT MADE THEM VERY COOLING ON MY SYSTEM. IN THE SUMMER ITS GREAT!!! WILL BUY SOMEMORE SOON.
I think they are supposed to be a cross between a plum and an apricot.. same family botanically so they crossed em and made a Pluot! I guess that sounds better than apricum anyway they were so delicious and perfectly ripe but not too ripe - really really juicy with the feel of a plum but there's a little tang like an apricot flavor too… great idea and yummy new to me fruit🙂
Tasty and firm. Great value for the money. I love these from Walmart, in addition to blueberries, cherries, black grapes, avocados and blackberries too. If you don't buy, I believe you will miss out. My only risk is that many will here me, and these will sellout. 😭
I am happy to share that the 1st bag of pluots I purchased were so delicious I bought another bag the following week. I'm trying to cut back on sugar in the evenings %26 making healthier choices (most days:). Both times, the fruit was firm, sweet %26 just right. No bruising. No early expirations. The colors were beautiful. I'm very satisfied with this particular fruit %26 it's perfect state. Well done Walmart 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Price is good. They look really good. But. . . The skin is weird. Super thick. The pit sticks to the yellow meat of the plum. Very messy to remove the pit. Even if sliced in half, these are hard to eat. The skin of the fruit, bothers me the most. Mushy fruit along with hard, in same bag. Very, very sweet.
pluots, would probably be amazing, but the ones I received were two green to eat you should leave them on the tree a little longer so they can finish ripening. I understand the need to pick them partially green but for crying out loud get them to the customer in a form that can be eaten the ones I received I couldn't even bite
I had never heard of pluots, until I saw them on a cooking show I enjoy. Had to try them! I love both apricots and plums, but I have to say that I was a little disappointed. I tasted plum, but a drier version , and apricots? Not at all. I'm not sure I would buy them again. However, these were yellow. I'm up for trying the purple version to see if they're better. Regardless, they're fruit and I never met fruit I didn't love. I mean, I didn't hate the yellows, but I had hoped for more — juiciness and more flavor.
The fruit was extremely over ripe, and some were even mushy and molding and not edible. I shared the only one with husband that was edible. It was very soft but tasty. Wish more of the 2 lbs. were good. I had to throw the remainder out. very disappointed! i did get a refund on the purchase. Thank You Walmart!!
first time buying these plums they looked really good in the picture but didn't look the same after getting them, they were the dark purple color which I dont care for instead of the red one's in the picture, I thought I had the wrong order, they were not sweet, tasted bland very disappointed especially after paying $5 for them
I PAID ALMOST 5.00 FOR THIS BAG OF PLUMOTS AND THEY WERE THE WORST I'VE EVER EATING 2 OF THEM WERE ROTTED AFTER JUST TWO DAYS IN THE FRIDGE AND THE REST OF THEM WEREN'T WORTH EATING THEY HAD NO FLAVOR AT ALL SO I THREW THEM IN THE TRASH MONEY THROD AWAY WON'T BE BUYING AGAIN SO DON'T ANYONE WAIST YOUR NOT WORTH IT AT ALL
