Fresh Red Bell Pepper, Each

Have always been happy with the produce picked out and delivered. Especially Red Bell Peppers. If you can’t use it all, cut them into strips, or strips then cut those strips into chunks. Whatever you may use them for, put that into a freezer bag, freeze what you don’t use then you’ll have some all ready, for next time….if green and red, I separate red and green bell peppers into individual bags, then put each bag into one bag and sharpie date it. Then you have a choice to toss some into a recipe, omelet or such….if ice is in the bag, put the bag into the fridge the night before, let it thaw overnight, so the water absorbs back into the peppers. No fuss, no waste.

Fresh is best and I always find the biggest, sweetest red bell peppers at Walmart. Other stores have had the thin, flesh bell peppers at a higher cost. These are thick, so they are easy to slice and taste so good in fajitas. I also like them raw in dip. Yummy!

I have Chronic Kidney Disease and have had to make changes to my diet. Roasted red peppers are great for a renal diet...if you make them. You can be sure of the ingredients,but the price can be daunting. Walmart has until recently been where I purchase from. The quality %26 freshness have been stellar along with the low price. That has been of great importance to me. I have to stay away from jarred spaghetti sauce but it is easily replaced with a homemade red pepper sauce- but again price. Hoping the price gets low again - going to purchase,roast,prep, vacuum seal and can a huge amount!

Shoppers continually pick produce that is ready for the trash can. The last three times i used their service the peppers were wrinkled, the fresh watermelon chunks were expiring the next day and the lettuce was wilted. Nice service but nobody is trained to pick fresh items.

Delivery order red pepper was soft and pocked with many wrinkled areas on its way to being bad. The Walmart employees who pick the orders need to be trained on what produce customers would not want. My guess is they are young and have no clue how to choose good produce because the broccoli crowns in the same order was just as bad. They are baseball size, soft and floppy. Definitely not fresh and crispy NOT something i would put in a cart. Not to mention Giant Markets are good quality and near $1.00 a crown cheaper.

I have cut way back on delivery orders from Walmart because the temporary hold ends up posting twice to my bank account. It takes 3 to 4 days for the duplicate charge to drop off and I can't afford to have a duplicate charge with my bank account. This happens regularly. I was ordering 2 to 3 times a week spending $3-$400 I have now limited my spending with Walmart because of this issue if it ever gets resolved, I would like to continue ordering deliveries.

I purchased this Red Pepper with the expectation that it would rippen into a Yellow or Orange Pepper. After over a week, it deteriorated on the counter and attracted 15-20 extremely nimble self-multiplying fruit flies which took over a week to exterminate. I would give it zero stars if I could. Do not recommend!

I think I'll pick my own produce from now on. The shoppers either dont know how to pick good/decent produce, dont care to pick good produce or walmart's choices aren't good. The bell pepper i received was soft with a broken spot. Whichever it is, I'LL be buying my produce instead of ordering it.

The quality of red peppers over the last few weeks has been poor. The one i received yesterday was wilted. The green onion I received should not have been sold. They were so wilted they were limp. The slicing tomatoes had bad spots and should not have been sold either.
