i eat a heap of cabbage. raw and cooked. i had stopped getting white/green in favor of red/purple, cos i thought the latter had more nutrition. turns out they have DIFFERENT nutrition. so i will go back to getting one white and one red, alternating orders.
It kept for a month. I just made cole slaw with half and will boil the other half. when it is just me, I blend it with half a purple onion and 2 carrots, a cup of mayo, about 3 or 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, and a tablespoon of sugar. I put it in my food processor because I have dentures. Makes it easier to eat. Tastes like it came straight down from heaven.
I love red cabbage and I use it for Cole slaw or chopped finer for making regular salads not a fan of lettuce but cabbage is delicious eggs ,sunflower seeds, tomatoes, thyme and basil , blue cheese and western dressing ,sweet peppers, mushrooms !! Yummy!!
The cabbage had a layer of Bad leaves on the outside, which of course contributed to the weight and the charge. However, that being said it was 1 million times better than Whole Foods who delivered less than 1/2 ahead of cabbage because they peeled off all the leaves and charged per head instead of per pound I genuinely appreciate Walmart in-home delivery service. so far all the products I have received have been excellent with only a couple of very minor issues. I also received other bad produce from Whole Foods, which had been soaked in water so you could not tell they were old. So far I haven’t had any of these issues with Walmarts produce home delivery.
Bordered on being TOO OLD to serve!! I had to throw away more than half due to it was dry and leaves REALLY TOUGH!! I used the entire head to pick pickles and olives into. I hull out the top to use as a dish for dip. THE OUTTER LEAVES SOOO TOUGH, I could hardly pierce it and the CORE SOOO TOUGH it was IMPOSSIBLE to hull out!!!
Just got it delivered. I am not impressed. It is probably the smallest head of cabbage I have ever seen. It needs to be eaten right away, I can tell by the leaves that it is older.
One cabbage was a normal sized cabbage to cook. The 2nd cabbage was the size of a large tomato. I have a picture of it. You shouldn’t even had one that small in the store for the shopper to choose. This is the 2nd time this has happened but I was forging the 1st time. Very disappointed because it completely ruined my dinner plans for my family coming to visit. I live in a very rural area and can’t just run to the store when I’m low on something. Quit accepting produce that’s rotten or small and train your shoppers to not pick it if it’s there.
The outside of this cabbage was full of holes and wet slime. It was obviously not fresh and I'm appalled that the shopper would select such an item.
Did you ever hear of corned beef and cabbage with PURPLE CABBAGE?! AND a HUGE head! I tried and tried to decline the purple cabbage. The shopper didn't give me the option to decline it!
This red cabbage was THE MOST ROTTEN Ive ever seen ! Is there a way to send picture ? Just wow It was all brown %26 SLIMEY EWWW BAD ! How could the shopper / picker not see that ? oh my
