crispy fresh bite, hold good lower part of fridge, balanced flavor for a month plus, good price, i like to slice them by the bunch...my go to when hungry nerves...
Can't remember a time when I didn't love Red Delicious apples. I could pay more for them from Kroger, but Kroger does not keep good crisp apples in stock all year. Walmart simply knows how to treat produce better, in my opinion, or perhaps it's an economy of scale. In either case, I'm happy to benefit from it.
Wonderful crunch, just the right size for a snack, especially enjoy them cold! The skin gives a slight “pop” when you first bite into it, then the crispness of the flesh. Amazing. Just the right added bonus in salads, too: Chicken, Waldorf, fruit, practically any salad you can think of!
I've never gotten a bad bag delivered. These are my boyfriend's favorite for taking to work and eating raw. He's never complained and red delicious are his favorites type of apple. Every once in a while I'll core and bake one in a cupcake tin with butter, cinnamon and raisens for myself.
Actually, and without any critical intention, we buy these for feeding to our neighborhood deer! They love them. It is not only my husband's favorite apple (he grew up in Washington state and was weaned on these), but also our deer's. We go through about 10 lb.s a week. Our delivery girl leaves them on the front porch where they stay nice and cool (in the winter) and Grandpa can easily toss them out to the critters who visit him almost every day. Every one is happy. But really, they are good apples , and occasionally the grandkids and I help eat a few. They are a good llunchbox size, always fresh, tasty and crispy,
We are getting more and more that are not edible. One looked like it had been cut with a knife before being sealed in the bag. Most of them are okay. But sometimes half the bag is overripe and the other half not fully ripe. And with the decrease in quality the price keeps slowly increasing. We have planted our own pear trees. I guess apples are next.
Probably about half of the apples were rotten to the core. I know produce can be hit or miss and have its seasonal quality issues, however, I think it's a packaging problem. The packaging of the plastic bag makes it easy to grab a large supply but unfortunately if one bad apple sneaks into the mix it accelerates the ripening process and impacts those around it causing them to spoil as well. Is it going to stop me from buying apples, no but it's just unfortunate I couldn't eat a good portion of what I paid for.
Very disappointed in Tiny size NO COUNTRY OF ORIGIN is very concerning!!! what happened to Washington Red Delicious Apples?? 🍎 these are not Delicious Reds they are so tiny %26 from a mystery foreign country but origin is missing from bag completely. We as consumers eating %26 feeding our children, ourselves have every right to know what country food is from for the banned pesticides still used and unhealthy, and deadly E-Coli fecal matter fields without Safe Farming Regulations %26 practices. customers should always be able to read on bag where a product is from as some countries still use banned highly toxic, cancerous causing pesticides that US banned %26 US has farming field practices to protect public from deadly E-Coli. I won’t order again it’s scary when they don’t list origin on bag.
when I purchased this item I forgot the red delicious apples and the bag or not a good purchase? when you purchase and weigh them, (them means (the red delicious apple) by weight, the apple is much more delicious and that is a fact. WHY? YOU TELL ME?
I found the Fresh Red Delicious Apples to be quite disappointing. The skin was very tough, making them difficult to eat, and, unfortunately, they also contained a high number of seeds, which was not ideal. Due to these factors, we will not be purchasing these apples again. I am hoping that Walmart will have Golden Delicious apples in stock soon; they are a much-preferred variety in our household.
