I do a lot of cooking not just for myself but for my elderly parents we deal with health problems and heartburn as we age and I find that I like stuff that tastes good and if you wanted to taste good you want to put onions in it the red ones are the best without all the side effects of heartburn
I've been extremely impressed with the Fresh Red Onions, 3 lb, Bag. Finding high-quality produce in bulk can sometimes be hit-or-miss, but these onions consistently deliver. The 3 lb bag offers excellent value and ensures I always have plenty on hand for cooking throughout the week. Upon opening the bag, every single onion was firm, dry, and had a beautiful, vibrant red-purple skin—a true sign of freshness. There were no soft spots or signs of premature sprouting, which often happens with lower-quality bulk bags. They are perfectly sized, making them easy to slice or dice, and the layers are wonderfully crisp. The flavor is exactly what you want from a red onion: a sharp, pungent bite when raw, mellowing beautifully into a sweet, savory undertone when grilled or caramelized. They are incredibly versatile. I use them thinly sliced for salads and tacos, thick-cut on the grill for shish kabobs, and diced for my homemade spaghetti, salsas, and chilis. They hold up well in storage, too, lasting weeks in a cool, dark pantry. If you go through red onions regularly, this 3 lb bag is a smart, high-quality purchase that I highly recommend!
I love these red onions on everything from sandwiches to salads and in my baked chicken. I couldn't even eat it raw or cooked. I could bite the whole onion like a fruit, not really. I really wanna juice it and drink it because I heard it's healthy. It has lots of antioxidants. I would recommend this onion for the taste and for the price.
For me I like the strong taste of red onions depending on what is being prepared. I love the color they give to certain dishes when paired with colored bell peppers. They stand out beautifully in shrimp dishes, salads, bone broths and vegetarian bean dishes, I choose these for their impactful flavor.
These onions are hit or miss as you can never tell what is in the core. The past several bags have had black soft cores… They have also been moldy. If you find a bag with larger sized onions, They tend to be a better quality. Started buying the red onions individually, and have not been disappointed.
These onions are tasty, but I wouldn’t order them through delivery. There were three moldy onions in the bag. One was so bad it was mushy and smelly. That’s a third of the onions that were in the bag. Someone just grabbed a bag and didn’t check the quality, so that’s a pricey lesson learned. You’re the only one who cares about the quality.
I do not understand why all the produce I have ordered I the past couple months arrive spoiled! I keep saying I’m going to cancel my subscription but it’s difficult for me to get to the store! The last order had mold on the onions and the limes were brown, the potatoes were not baking potatoes and were half rotten! The order previously to that spoiled within 3 days! I can’t afford this to happen!
RED ONIONS COVERED IN BLACK DUST! THE BLACK DUST IS MOLD! (I GOOGLED IT) HOME DELIVERY CUSTOMERS CANNOT CHOOSE THEIR PRODUCE. WE HAVE TO RELY ON YOUR EMPLOYEES TO PICK FOR US! STOP BRINGING US ROTTIN PRODUCE! PUT IT IN THE TRASH. NOT IN OUR ORDERS! IF THE ORDER PICKERS CAN'T DO THEIR JOBS BETTER THAN THIS, FIRE THEM!!! I'M FED UP WITH INCOMPETENCE!!!
I did not receive my item, they need to do a better job making sure every item on the list is in your bags. I was charged for the item but did not get it. It was not the first time items were missing and was charged. Nothing saying was not in stock or substitute the item was marked as complete.
Shopper gave me a bag of molded onions! Not only that I blame the Walmart employees at this store because why aren’t yall paying attention to your produces and throwing them out when expired?! Everyone health is on the line when shopping at these stores. Please think of us how you would want to be treated please.
