Lettuce Romaine friends while you shop: I was Stalking the produce aisle for a while, and these 3 lettuce leaves are unbe-leaf-able, they were chillin' with the others just veggin' out. They’re the Head of the class and all Heart. If you know how to prep them before you throw them in the fridge they won't wilt, and they'll stay so crisp you could soil yourself. These hearts are arugula-bly the best crunch in the game. These aren't the tip of the Iceburg so, If you’re looking to turn over a new leaf, look no further. I’m Rooting for you to try them. Romaine calm and eat your greens! Ok, that's all I gotta' say for now, I'll Leaf you to your shopping.
While I will order pick up for grocery in boxes and containers, II don't allow anyone to choose my veggies and fruit. I am pleased with this lettuce every time I purchase. I cut it up, wash it, spin it and place in zip lock bags. It lasts for a week. The key is to keep it mostly dry while in fridge crispiee.
I ORDER ICEBERG LETTUCE EVERY WEEK BUT IT WAS OUT OF STOCK TODAY. MY SHOPPER SELECTED ROMAINE. I DID A LITTLE RESEARCH ON HOW TO PREPARE IT AND LEARNED THAT IF YOU WRAP IT IN FOIL IT CAN LAST UP TO 30 DAYS. SO INSTEAD OF THROWING AWAY HALF OF THE ICEBERG EVERY WEEK, I WILL HAVE CRISPY ROMAINE FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS.
The outer lettuce leaves were already turning color (pink) upon receiving them at pick up. Further inspection found that almost half of each heart was beginning to wilt and not acceptable as fresh.
Almost every order has an unavailable item - usually something very basis- like onions or milk. We have items missing that we were charged for, broken glass in bags and cans so badly dented we threw them away. Seriously thinking if delivery is worth it .
This lettuce had already begun to change color in the veins which is an indication that it is old. Why would a shopper not look at this before putting it in a customer's basket. This is a waste of my money and I probably wont shop again online which also means I will cancel the plan.
Are the employees trained to pick the worst possible produce? Purchased twice and they seem to get the rotting options. Every time i go in the store theres plenty of non rotten options. Sure this can be avoided by me going in the store but the employees can have some decency and pick out produce they would pick for themselves if they were shopping….
Am getting disappointed with the quality of produce being delivered. Happening all too frequently now. Pickers should be trained on picking produce for delivery. I am wheelchair bound so when I get crappy produce it’s not like I can get to the store to replace it. I have to wait til I need $35 of groceries to start another delivery !! In my last order I received a 3 pack of romaine lettuce hearts that was disgusting. All 3 had severe rust and one end one was literally broken apart! I know it all can’t be perfect but please tell pickers to at least look at the package for severe damage and spoilage. And I ordered 2 bananas in this same order and they were badly bruised … looked like 2 single bananas that were thrown about in the display. Was making smoothies that evening so I had to use them. I’ve already received tomatoes the were a day away from complete spoilage , green pepper just the same way and celery that had rust. Pickers have to be trained. Again, I order since I can’t get to the store and therefore cannot go and get the produce I need. Other than that my I am grateful for the delivery program.
I had no choice but to order delivery as I could not get to the store today and gave this lousy W membership so ordered delivery knowing at least something would be wrong as us usually the case. I received this romaine lettuce with a pack date of 03/18/2026 and a best by date of 04/04/2026. Today is 04/05/2026. Where is the common sense? Whoever packed this either can't see well, as visually there is brown sediment at the bottom of the bag, and/or does not care at all. I'm betting both? Walmart, why are you not checking and rotating stock on your perishable items? GET IT TOGETHER!
I had this delivered with an order to be delivered. When I took it out of the bag, half of it was rotten. Whoever the person was that packed it, obviously they didn’t care what they were selecting. I took it back to the store. But it makes me doubt Walmarts home delivery.
