very good , has plenty of flavor I would suggest cutting back a little or adding more meat based on my taste overall very good
Great stuff. I add the pepper cheese and some dehydrated jalapenos. Very tasty.
We really enjoyed the flavor! Would definitely reorder.
This Bourbon an Chipotle seasoning is great. It is a one of a kind flavor. The Chipotle doesn't make them hot an there's just a hint of a Bourbon like flavor. I make mine with the High Temp Hot Pepper cheese. This seasoning has become much go to for brats.
We've been using the Lem Bratwurst seasoning to make all pork brat patties which are fantastic. When grilled, they seal and hold the moisture to produce a juicy, well seasoned product. The season blend is just right - not too intense but very traditional brat flavor. Our entire family has been pleased with the results of this product.
I mix with Cheddar Cheese and Venison. My hunt club goes crazy over these babies. We have tried a lot on seasonings and this beats them all. Can't wait for hunting season because my stock got wiped out with summer cookouts, kids love the flavors and want me to make 50 lbs this fall! Big hit with the older fellas and the kids! Don't forget the High temp Cheese! It's fantastic.
Made beer brats out of venison with this. I wanted to use a German beer but the store was out. They had the next closest thing though, Heineken. I used Heineken beer in place of water and made 5lbs of the best beer brats I have ever had! Cooked them on the grill and O man! Put them on brat buns with a little mustard and sauerkraut and wash it down with Heineken! I will definitely be making more! My wife and kids enjoyed them as well! You will not be disappointed!
Backwoods seasonings are top of the line. Sausage needs seasoning but usually the amount of sodium is over whelming. The ratios in these seasonings leave room to add spice, zest, or acid without worrying about overly salty sausage. I make all of my sausage with lean wild game meat blended 50% with pork shoulder.
Haven't used it yet but my son and others said it was the most Delicious Sausage they ever ate and it was just strait venison ground meat no fat or pork added , going to use with wild turkey and bacon bits ground together so I think it will be great.
First time making bratwurst. Ended up with 22pounds of pork. Mixed the spices with high temp cheese and a bottle of Fat Tire beer. It turned out outstanding. I surprised myself. Great body and flavor. I shared part of the batch with family and they were amazed. I do recommend. I have been making Italian sausage with an old family recipe. This will be rotated into my sausage making calendar.
