Got home and cut one opened and it was filled with a yellow gooey bacteria. Cut the second one and it was over ripe and flesh mushy. When can we get some fresh, delicious watermelon in stock again. This seems to be a reoccurring issue the last few purchases. We try to eat one each day or two during summer. Very upsetting. We even decided to go inside ourselves this time rather than buy watermelon from the pick up at store option.
I opted for NO SUBSTITUTIONS, but TWICE now I have received a substitute for the watermelon I ordered. I specifically ordered the SEEDED WATERMELON and and I received SEEDLESS! I would like to know EXACTLY WHY?! Why was there an option for getting SEEDED if SEEDLESS was the only option?! I choose NO SUBSTITUTIONS because I don't want ANY substitutions. That includes watermelon that I ordered.
I don't know where this watermelon came from, but it's one of the worst I've ever bought. It looked like on the inside it was crossed with a seedless one I order a seeded one but it had more white seeds than black or the dark. The whole middle was off white spongy stuff. Disappointed greatly, because it was $6 something
The young lady that brought my order out was polite and professional. She listened to my concern about the watermelons being the wrong ones and went to ask the picker about them. It was not resolved because she was not helped by the other staff. The watermelon I paid for were the large seeded variety. I was given the small seedless variety. When I cut into them they were not ripe at all. I threw them away. Completely discouraged to buy food from there again.
did not receive this item as a watermelon usually weights 20-30lbs i received one that can be held with one hand (gf). I would think if you offer 2 options you would train on how to choose the correct one and not charge full size price for the smaller product!
the shopper bamboozled for my money, I didn't realize until cutting the watermelon that they seedless I don't eat seedless fruit so I was only able to get a refund for one watermelon . If they don't have seeded just give back the money so I can go somewhere else
Is best to go to the store and pick out your own fruit instead of having it delivered I had this watermelon delivered to my house and it was rotten and usually when I ask for a credit they tell me to bring it back to the store. I'm not able to go to the store. That's why I have groceries delivered.
I always wait a day or two to cut the watermelon open, this one tasted like cucumber, I ended up throwing it out. Normally I shop my own produce this time I had it delivered. Not very ripe at all. Can't send pics I tossed outside to the groundhogs.
Although fresh, it was completely white fleshed, a clear indicator that it was not sweet. After taking a bite, it was confirmed. This watermelon was not sweet at all and truthfully Walmart should not be buying fruit before it is seasoned and their shoppers should be trained on how to pick out ripe fruit among other things regarding shopping with the main one being "shop for the customer and pick quality items like you'd want someone to shop for you!" but as always, they miss that memo. I ended up trashing the entire watermelon. If I have to intentionally leave certain items off my list for delivery just to shop for those items in store myself, it defeats the purpose of paying for the membership to the shopper do it for me! I was keeping Walmart just for the free paramount but truthfully be told, it just isn't worth it because if it isn't unsweetened watermelons, it's wilted salad or molded fruit or bread and the shoppers just don't seem to care like Instacart shoppers whom I can also chat with as they shop, not like Walmart.
Bought item for 4th of July party 2days after purchase it was mushy %26 soft inside threw it in trash call W when I got back from vkay 2 wks later for a refund they wanted me to bring into store are these people insane? After saying I threw in trash on refund request To receive a credit on account. Not sure what's going on with Jupiter W but for the last few months their produce hasn't been up to par time to go back to Publix or Aldi or fruit mkt
