I almost didn't buy these collards because of the reviews. I took a chance and boy am. I glad I did. These are the most convenient chopped collard greens, and there is a TON of them in this bag. I did not experience a lot of stems in the bag. I can tell you you'll get a whole lot more stems if you buy fresh leaves. I like to throw them in a crockpot with a big old smoked ham hock. Nothing better for seasoning beans or collards.
Everything went well everything was pleasant. The driver was friendly. She followed instructions. She came around to the back cause a lot of times people don't come to the back. They ignore it and I have a hard time getting out my front door, but everything was nice. She was very friendly and I'm satisfied with the quality of everything.
Wonderful huge bag of greens. Collard greens have the highest nutritional value of all the cooked greens. I run a cup or two of the pre washed greens in my cuisinart %26 place them in a container in the fridge for use when I need them. I add the finely ground greens to soup, macaroni %26 cheese (try the extra creamy) or casseroles like chili or rotini %26 meatballs in red sauce. I was pleasantly surprised as my delivery order contained the huge bag of collard greens as a substitute for the (unavailable) kale that I had ordered online. Huge shout out to my shopper!
Love these greens. You can prepare them quickly by cooking in a pressure cooker (look for various recipes) or fill your house of that aroma by cooking them a few hours in a slow-cooker (crockpot). Just add seasoning, some sort of flavoring meat (ham hock or smoked neckbones) and be ready to enjoy!
Wanted to check out bag collards instead of buying a bunch of greens and having to clean them and up them up. This was a time saver for me but I did wash them anyway. They cooked very evenly and it was so easy. The only thing that I saw was a bunch of stems and you can remove most of them by hand during the wash. I will be purchasing again but will definitely go and remove all those tiny stems before I cook them. Once seasoned they taste just like the regular collards that you cut up. This will be my go to for purchasing greens already cut and bagged.
This was my first time ordering grapes. I had to give half the bag of grapes away because it was too much for me. Next time I will try to order less. I didn't know. The Collard Greens were fresh, but contained too much for one person pot. I cooked same day and enjoyed them. Half of that bag would have been enough.
This bag of shredded greens was better than the last one they sent me, which had multiple yellow leaves. I requested a refund for that one. This replacement bag is better looking. But it lacks flavor, which is more about the product itself. Perhaps they couldn't be picked at their peak. One star off for flavor.
I bought the "fresh shredded" collard greens to save me time. WRONG. Half the bag was stems and ribs - which I had to sort through. Plus there was a little funky smell to it. I would have been better off and saved money by buying actual FRESH bunches.
I want to my money back. These collards in the bag I don't want. The fresh produce collard greens was 1.77 X2=3.54. Two of those bags collard you charge me 7: plus. I did see the field to say no substitutes. I didn't like collard greens with all those stems. Why the customer needs to send a picture look on the order. Learn you Products- items.
These collard greens are set to expire on November 24 and I purchased them on November 22. They really look bad in the bag. These are the shredded collard greens. I usually buy these in person, but I decided to do a pick up. I don't think I'll try that again because I don't think anyone looked at the expiration dates.
