I was leary about using these shredded carrots for the 'vegatable' dish for dinner, but i put them in a pan and boiled them. I was VERY happy I did that!! They were so good! I am very glad I did that! I had to buy more, so I could do it again. They truely made a hit at the dinner table. All I had to do, was open the bag, put them in a pan of water, boil them, then after a bit, strain them, add just a touch of salt and add butter.... oh so good!!!
These shredded carrots have become one of my favorite salad items. i used to get the baby carrots, but honestly never ate them all.And ended up throwing some away. with the shredded carrots , I just add them to my salad. They're delicious and very easy to eat and I always finish the bag quickly. Sometimes I just eat them with a little dressing for a quick snack.
Don't let this tiny strips hang around too or they go bad fast. I used this item for homeade soups during Lent and I used them as treat for the dog, use them up, they will get slimy and go bad fast. Have a plan when you by them, get them rinsed off and used.
I can never seem to cut carrots like this-I've tried! They're great in a salad and I even added some slightly chopped to my homemade macaroni salad. I slightly boiled them and flash cooled them down in ice before adding them to the salad. We don't like them TOO crunchy in our house.
I love keeping a bag of these shredded carrots in the fridge. They are such a huge time saver because I don't have to worry about peeling or grating them myself. They stay remarkably fresh and crunchy in the bag, and the shred size is perfect for everything from topping a salad to mixing into a homemade coleslaw or even a quick stir-fry. High quality and super convenient for getting more veggies into our meals!
Great to add to my salads and taste really good and you don't have to cut them, there already cut and taste really good and brings color to the salad 🩷
They're great. Got good flavor. Eat some as is or make a big salad. Make a carrot cakr with these. Yep, i really recommended buying these over %26 over.
these are my goto for "salad" These, sunflower seeds, frozen peas and croutons! Add a dollop of GV Ranch dressing and enjoy! you could add raisins too.
I am not sure if it was just a bad batch, but I bought these to make carrot salad. The next day, I rinsed the shredded carrots and dried them prior to combining the dressing. The taste was blah, old carrot taste, no crispness. There were some leftovers for the next day, but when I opened the container, the salad did not look good. To be safe, I had to throw it out, and I hate to waste food! I will buy the big carrots and shred them fresh from now on.
Came here to review these carrots and just now realizing what I received was not what I ordered. What I received was match stick carrots by Grimmway Farms. When I opened the bag the carrots literally reeked of a bleach/chemical spell. It was so bad I gagged and had to throw them in the trash. I had never had an issue with the unbranded carrots shown in the listing which why I was really surprised at how terrible they were. Glad it was not these - I just don't ever want the Grimmway Farms brand ever again!
