Shredded carrots

Breezy May 8, 2026

I was leary about using these shredded carrots for the 'vegatable' dish for dinner, but i put them in a pan and boiled them. I was VERY happy I did that!! They were so good! I am very glad I did that! I had to buy more, so I could do it again. They truely made a hit at the dinner table. All I had to do, was open the bag, put them in a pan of water, boil them, then after a bit, strain them, add just a touch of salt and add butter.... oh so good!!!

Fresh, Sweet %26 Always Handy

Tonya July 17, 2026

These little bags of shredded carrots have become another regular item on my grocery list. We serve salads with a lot of our meals, and these are the perfect finishing touch for anyone who likes a little extra crunch and sweetness. One thing I especially appreciate is that they're softer than baby carrots, making them much easier for the older members of our family to enjoy without giving their teeth a workout. That's a small detail that makes a big difference around our dinner table. They're always fresh, have a naturally sweet flavor, and I love how well they keep in the refrigerator. I don't feel rushed to use them the minute I get home from the store, which helps reduce food waste. Sometimes it's the simplest ingredients that make the biggest difference, and these are one of those dependable staples I'll keep buying again and again.

They Were Already Shredded When I Got Here

Queefa June 12, 2026

A 10-ounce bag of pre-shredded carrots. Someone, somewhere, shredded these so I wouldn't have to. I never met them. The carrots don't talk about it. Practical notes first, because this is still a review: the shreds are matchstick-fine, which is exactly what you want. Fine enough to disappear into slaw dressing, soft enough to eat raw in a salad without that raw-carrot jaw workout, and they cook down in a stir-fry in about ninety seconds flat. I've used one bag across carrot cake muffins, a Thai-ish peanut slaw, and tossed a handful into fried rice at the end. One bag, three meals. The math is friendly. Freshness is the whole game with these, so check the date on the bag before it goes in your cart. Pre-shredded carrots have more exposed surface area than whole ones, which means they dry out and go white-ish ("carrot blush" — harmless, just dehydration) faster. Use within 4–5 days of opening for best texture. If they start looking pale, a 5-minute ice water soak brings them back. They come back different, but they come back. Keep the bag sealed and toward the back of the crisper drawer. The cold back corner. They like it there. When I open the fridge at 2 AM the bag has always shifted slightly to the left, which I attribute to the compressor cycle, because I have to attribute it to something. One star off because 10 oz vanishes fast if you're feeding more than two people, and because once you taste how sweet fresh shreds are in slaw, the pre-bagged stuff at the salad bar tastes like regret. Pros: Genuinely sweet, uniform fine shred, zero prep, versatile raw or cooked. Cons: Short window once opened, small bag for families, hums faintly at the frequency of a root remembering soil. Would buy again. The crisper drawer expects it now.

Almost no flavor in these. They don't last. If not used in a couple of days they tend to go bad very quickly. I have tried them more than once to give the product a fair look, but I won't be buying them again. I would rather get them in bunches and use the food processor. Much better flavor and quality that way.

ORANGE shredded dryness

Betty July 16, 2026

These were a little dry, I'm not gonna lie. Did we notice that the name of them is fresh shredded orange carrots, as opposed to? Anyway, I would probably not buy these again, although they serve their purpose and they topped one salad and the rest of the bag got tossed.

The amount is perfect, and the size if the grated carrots are great. The big problem is they are way too wet! Storage would be impossible without drying on a towel or paper towel. I'm not sure if this store has "rain," but it was definitely wet. If you didn't do those steps they would be rotten in a day. Food is precious and avoid spoilage

In my recent delivery order of the shredded carrots that I received on 7/2/26, the carrots had a best use by date of 6/29/26. While it is still safe to eat, had I been shopping in person I would not have selected produce with a date that has come %26 gone.

Not a good item this time.

DeeB April 14, 2026

I am not sure if it was just a bad batch, but I bought these to make carrot salad. The next day, I rinsed the shredded carrots and dried them prior to combining the dressing. The taste was blah, old carrot taste, no crispness. There were some leftovers for the next day, but when I opened the container, the salad did not look good. To be safe, I had to throw it out, and I hate to waste food! I will buy the big carrots and shred them fresh from now on.

Came here to review these carrots and just now realizing what I received was not what I ordered. What I received was match stick carrots by Grimmway Farms. When I opened the bag the carrots literally reeked of a bleach/chemical spell. It was so bad I gagged and had to throw them in the trash. I had never had an issue with the unbranded carrots shown in the listing which why I was really surprised at how terrible they were. Glad it was not these - I just don't ever want the Grimmway Farms brand ever again!

I did not receive this item. so much for the salad I was going to make! I received instead a package of several very small cucumbers. I had already ordered three regular cucumbers which I did receive. so I really didn't need the package of cucumbers. I wanted my carrots.
