i like the new packaging, it sure does keep them from being crushed in delivery orders even when they are with two bags of onions and bag of lemons... two bags of onions and bag of lemons is TOO much even with double bagging, i can only lift 5%23 each arm so I had to unpack and take them in one at a time making it three trips...I'm in a wheelchair and i don't appreciate more work than is necessary, I have no help I have to do things by myself
Each tomato went into a different recipe. One was for tuna salad with sautéed onions and peppers; one was for burger night; and the last for homemade salsa with onions, jalapenos, and spices. All recipes were made on different days, meaning that the tomatoes were good for a whole week before I used the last one. And they were all delicious to the end.
At the time I bought these, Walmart did not have a good variety of tomatoes, for some reason. ( probably not their fault ) I use them as a topping on my luncheon salads. They were BIG... and firm... and flawless. They would be very suitable for sandwiches and hamburgers. Only drawback was they seemed a little expensive, but I think there was some sort of crop issue, tomatoes were expensive everywhere...If there were ANY tomatoes worth the price I paid, they couldn't be much better than these.
They were a little ripper than what I would like them to have been, but when it comes to fruit, you can’t say anything on what you prefer, and when it comes to canned goods you can’t say I want you to get the date out the furthest or even the fresh items like milk, eggs, bread, etc.
literally ROTTEN AND MOLDING!. I ordered these beefsteak tomatoes through delivery and got a molded, soggy and dripping mess! it leaked all over the rest of my groceries ruining everything elsein the bags! Food costs too much for this type of mess. What fool of a person shopping this order thought this was a good idea? You shopped it and rang it up and bagged it? Walmart has become this type of establishment. living up to the stereotype. Complete Trash
I'm tried of getting rotten fruits and vegetables. these last ones were smashed up so bad the bottom of the bag had their juices all over it. the ones before that the stems were all moldy. I'll just bring myself in my wheelchair to get my fruits and vegetables from now on.
I would NOT consider these tobe slicing tomatoes, they are very, very small (a little bit bigger thah a golf ball). I bought these to be used on normal size hambugers -they might be big enough to use on sliders or quartered into a wedge for a salad garnish. On the plus side I would give them 5 stars for their color, a deep tomatoe red and their firmness.
They come in a package they put them in the package upside down when I got them. I opened the package to take them out when I flipped the tomatoes over all three were completely rotten. What's going on Walmart? I order more groceries today this week. I buy a different type of tomato. I get it delivered today and it's rotten completely no good so soft you can't use it at all. What's wrong with your shoppers?
I didn’t get them . I also ordred hot links that cost a bout $5. They were by out of them no one tried to get a hold of me to substitute. Made my dinner incomplete, but also brought the price under $35, which cost $6.99 . My dinner got ruined and I got no hot links and it cost me more than it would have otherwise. YOU SUCK WALMART AND THAT TWO.
I cannot give no stars so had to choose one. Your shoppers needs to check produce before putting in peoples carts for delivery. One of the three tomatoes had an open gash in it AND they are hard as a rock. Light pink in color. I would never choose these for myself of anyone else!
