Most of the time when you get these, they will be hard and green, but if you put them in a paper bag for three days, they will perfectly ripen and be available for consumption.
Its always a gamble when I order inhome delivery from my Walmart. So many shoppers never look at the quality of the fruits%26 vegetables 😡🍆 they throw in the basket that gets delivered. This time the avocados were so mushy that when I touched them my fingers went right threw the skin. Read all the other reviews. I file complaint after complaint abd nothing changes. Walmart seems not to care about its inhome delivery customers. I can only afford one inhome delivery service so I am stuck. I am disabled and dont leave the house so I have to buy Walmart fruits %26 vegetables. It is Soooooo Frustrating 😡😡😡
I usually order these on each order. However in the last 2 deliveries all of the avocadoes were ripe with a few overipe. i like a combination of ripe and not ripe so dont have to throw them away. even all not ripe is okay because i eat one every other day.
They put rotten avocados and sent this to me. Again it’s hard to keep ordering food that is expensive. I didn’t have time to go into the store and again I trusted that they will have someone that can do their job. Waste of money. Threw them all away. All of them were rotten and soft like they were old. Amazon never did this.
I received this item (which I have bought numerous times before), by delivery, in unusable condition. They were all WAY past ripe, dark black, so soft I could barely cut one open, and the inside was dark brown (yuck). I tried to get a refund online, but they said the only option was to bring them into the store. I used delivery in the first place because I am unable to go to the store. I am absolutely not keeping rotten avocados for two days until I am able to get to the store!
This is the 2nd time that these avocados are like rubber inside! This batch looks like prunes after sitting for 9 days and they are soft. Go to cut open and the knife won’t go in. One had some brown spots/lines and I went to scrape off w a spoon and it was like they weren’t ripe. The seeds top layer came off w the avocado. Weirdest thing I’ve seen. What are they putting on these avocados???
Seems like all the avocados at Walmart are coming from Peru these days and 8 out of 10 times they rot on the inside before they ripen. I’m careful not to refrigerate them as I know this stops their ripening process. I tried placing an apple in with them in both a brown bag or a bowl with no luck. If they do actually ripen, they seem to be flavorless and watery. Avocados from Mexico (which they used to carry) were nearly always perfect. My avocado buying from Walmart will stop as long as they are sourced from Peru.
The person who chose these avocados picked the greenest hard ones in the bunch. I put them in a brown paper bag with a banana to ripen them. It did not work. I waited 2 weeks they still didn't turn ripe. So, I looked up if I could cook them, its not suggested, then I bought an apple and tried to stick it in the bag, no didn't work. Third week, I cut one open to my surprise it was hard stingy and BROWN! It was NOT ripe but rotten, how could this be? So, I opened them all in the bag, they all had brown spots and stringy brown strands. Yet were so hard you couldn't eat them. I do not recommed this product at all. Wasted of time and money.
The avocados I received this last time are from Colombia, they never ripen no matter what, if any of them shows is ripe, you cut it and is rotten. Do not recommending them. Is not the first time they delivered from this country, they end up In the trash. The best avocado hass are from Mexico.
The entire bag of 6 avocados was black %26 soft upon delivery to my home. I cut them all open and found this rotten mess. (Photo below) I have purchased these in the past a few times and they were ok. This bag AND the previous bag were like this: black %26 rotten. I won't be buying these again.
