I love using spaghetti squash! I use it for spaghetti substitutions as well as pad Thai noodle substitution. When you’re wanting more fiber or lower carb this is a great option. Highly recommend baking it in the oven at 400° for about 45-50 mins, face down, split in half. Then scrape the “noodles” out. It’s so versatile for cooking!
Fresh spaghetti squash for a healthy diabetic diet! Pair it with your favorite spaghetti sauce, and you have a low cal. Lo carb. meal. To make, preheat your oven to 375F., simply cut the squash in two lengthwise. Using a spoon, scrape the loose fibers and seeds from each half and discard. Using a good evoo, using a pastry brush, coat the inside of the squash. Then using evoo, grease lightly a cookie sheet. Then place the squash skin side up on the baking sheet. Bake for one hour. Remove Veronica oven and let sit on the pan for 15-20 minutes. Prepare your favorite pasta sauce. In a large bowl, using a table fork to skim the fibers, resembling spaghetti noodles, pull them loose and lay in the bowl. You can skim all of the flesh, with only the skins left, which you can now discard. Pour your spaghetti sauce over the spaghetti squash. Top with grated Parmesan cheese. Pair with your favorite vegetable. A medium to large squash can feed up to 4 servings. Best tasting squash in the world! I highly recommend it,, and give it 5 stars and a big thumbs up!
have had before fair price per pound. great substitute instead of spaghetti I wash off, place in microwave fir 2.50 seconds 2 times. I find makes it easier to cut in half lengthwise. Scoup out seeds with a serrated spoon (ones you use for pumpkins) - place in preheated 400° oven, on baking sheet w/parchment paper. Drizzle lightly with olive oil, salt and pepper, about 1 hour. Test with knife for doneness- depending on size. I serve with meatballs and spaghetti sauce. half of medium squash good for 1 serving. Salad on side
My family loves this squash. I had thought they wouldn't like it and put up a big fuss. I cut it in half, scraped out all the seeds, sprayed a little olive oil on it and baked it in oven till it was fork tender. Took clean forl and started raking it and it looked just like spaghetti. Tossed a little butter on it and started plating it up. After putting the spaghetti sauce on it I sat the parmesan cheese on the table. We said prayers and everyone started eating. I announced afterwards what they all had eaten and they all said cool, great, it was good mom. So we will be having this again.
Service is convenient, but... they continuously substitute items, quality of fresh vegetables and fruits is iffy at best, and returns to the store are inconvenient or impossible for folks like me who are disabled and depend on delivery.
Squash was rotten and green (unripe). I think Walmart puts the bad produce in pick up orders hoping to get rid of stock. It’s costing more to have a shopper, a person to deliver the bags and then me get a refund. Pick good stuff and not the rotten food.
I ordered and paid for a spaghetti squash and received a L E M O N instead. I think your personal shoppers need a lesson in fresh vegetables. A few weeks ago I also ordered the spaghetti squash and received a honey dew melon. I need the squash or a refund.
This is the second time I’ve received a honeydew melon instead of a spaghetti squash. I don’t know if the app selects the wrong thing or the shopper. 🤦🏽♀️
I love Spaghetti Squash because it is a great, low carb alternative to regular pasta, and I've ordered it here from Walmart in the past with no problems. But I didn't get Spaghetti Squash in my last order. I got melon that looks like Spaghetti Squash. I looked it up and I think it's Canary Melon. Whoever filled the order made a mistake.
Please stop selling things that are not in season or that are not ready to be sold. 😔 when I order spaghetti squash I’m assuming it’s gonna be a really nice big piece of spaghetti squash for $5.97 not what I received today and what I have received the past three times I have ordered with you. listen learned, I will no longer order this item.
