I bought it to make a tea to help with seasonal cough, etc. Turns out I hate thyme tea. However, it occurred to me after a couple weeks to put them in water, and almost all of them grew roots and are now growing happily by a window. So I think the quality was pretty good!
There is nothing better than to cut up fresh herbs and add it to homemade Marinara sauce. Ahh, the aroma fills my house and as my family files through the door at dinner time, they all immediately know that it is a pasta with a reach sauce and fresh herbs. Every time I order my fresh thyme and basil from Walmart it has come fresh and aromatic. The quality couldn't be better. And it is the perfect amount for a pot of sauce. I highly recommend it.
Got some thyme for cooking and it showed up fresh and well packed. It smells great and has that classic earthy flavor that really brings soups and stews to life. I've been using it pretty regularly and it's made a noticeable difference in my cooking.
There is always more than enough for all recipes that call for thyme. For beginners who aren’t familiar with thyme, Make sure your package is fully green, any darkening/browning the thyme is on its last leg and not fresh. When using full sprigs of thyme in a stew etc, the leaves will fall off and you will need to remove the sprig, it’s not enjoyable to eat. The price at Walmart is significant cheaper than my local Publix grocery store
Sometimes buying fresh herbs can be tricky. you have to look at the leafs carefully. This particular herb Thyme was beautiful, fresh and perfect!. I used it for homemade soup I was making and the taste was good. Store your fresh herbs properly and they will last!.
I literally have to place my order very early in the morning so I can actually get these clam shell seasonings. Otherwise I’ll be out of luck n some kid doing my shopping decides to buy some kind of Raman spice with no rosemary or thyme or dill in it in the first place. I donated it bc idk how to return an item I bought without consent. The kid never even asked if it was ok to substitute this. I adore fresh spices. Nothing makes a dish come to life any better than the real deal and fresh. I can usually count on these being fresh although I have decisive fir moldy a couple times. But Walmart is at least trying to do much better now. I can see some improvement.
perfect quality. nice and fresh, lovely color. excellent with their italian loaf slices, baked brie, raspberry jam for breakfast. just hold near the top, pull backwards and sprinkle leaves over the bubbly cheese. excellent roasted with duck, with a butter garlic glaze over steaks, turkey and chicken. quality company.
I don't know why I keep purchasing these. I keep having high hopes that the next time I order them they will be vibrant and fresh. Unfortunately, every single time I buy them, most of the sprigs are spoiled, sometimes to the point where there is mold. I used to return them and get a refund, but at this point it's my own fault that I keep trying. I say if you can go with dried, use it.
i did a walmart order and it took them two days past the agreed upon date to have it delivered. I have to assume the fresh thyme, rosemary and sage sat in a bag on the floor somewhere for those two days. they had no aroma and half the leaves were black. I had no other option which is why I ordered it for delivery. It definitely made the soup less desirable.
I don't know what it is about buying produce online. I tell myself never again, and then find myself with an urgent need, and your speedy delivery wins. Paying that extra $10.00 for a quick delivery and not being able to use the product, it's worth it. There was nothing FRESH about what was delivered, and it's not worth the gas to bring it back. When I'm in the store, I'm able to find fresh produce, so I know it's there. It was tossed before I got this survey. I will do everything in my power not to order produce from you again!
