I ordered 1 lb for a recipe that needs 1lb and they gave me 1/2 lb. Now I can't make the recipe without ordering more tomatillos plus $34 more items to meet the $35 minimum for delivery. I can't easily run to a store because I'm on a walker.
When they are good quality (good luck with that with home delivery!), they have a nice tangy flavor which works well in Mexican-style dishes and also with tuna. Best to pick out your own produce at the store though.
the product is fine. I'm just frustrated that it's near impossible to order the number of tomatillos i needed for tamales. my recipe called for 25 tamales and i was ordering delivery. i used the Internet to guess how much they would weigh. i got like 5. ordered a second time and still didn't get near enough. will have to go in person next time or try using canned
I love shopping at Walmart because it's affordable and convenient. But lately the produce has been SO bad! These tomatillos are 1/4 the size of what you'd find at any other grocery store. Even the garlic I bought was TINY. Terrible quality!
About half of these items were rotten they were smushy and smelly. They need to teach the people who shop for our items how to pick them it is not the first time i have issues with my orders the last 4 times have been bad experience with items missing, rotten items or wrong items. It is frustrating because i order the items i need for that specific day
Walmart didn't send me the quantity I asked for, they sent me some rotten tomatillos and they were all wet with the rotten water from the tomatillos, they should have people who at least want to do their job or train them well
If you get produce from here just go in and get it yourself. Walmart produce is hit or miss already so pair that with the workers who couldn’t care less it’s a recipe for disaster. I laugh but it’s really not funny.
I asked for 2.5 lbs and received 12 oz instead. Not sure why it wasn’t properly measured by the shopper, when there are scales available by the fresh produce. Theres not much I can do with 12 oz of tomatillos. I have my own scale here at home and was disappointed with how the shopper put in little effort to weigh the items properly before checkout.
The tomatillos were not of good quality the most rotten one I have a photo of there were several I through out. Rotten tomatillos can contaminate the as they sit by them. I'm not not going to return it's not worth it for $1.59 a pound. Just make sure you have good produce to pick from
Why on EARTH would I need only ONE I asked for half a pound not ONE single tomatillo!!! I was going to make green sauce and I can’t now because the people working for Walmart are slow!
