This is my go to lettuce choice. Leaves are pre-washed which is a convenience, especially in not having to dry them. They are consistently crispy, crunchy, even at the end of the container. And I appreciate how tightly the container seals and I keep them to reuse for throwing out used grease or starting plant cuttings.
Live this crunchy lettuce! Its already been triple washed so its ready to go right out of the package, making it so convenient to throw a salad together w dinner. Once in awhile walmart sells the packs that should t be sold so thats an issue but not often. I just do an online refund. They need to do better with vegetables on Walmart plus delivery orders!
We usually always order the Fresh Farms Better Crunch Lettuce, but would ask whoever is preparing our order to pick up items as though they were shopping for themselves. In other words, select the freshest (by appearance or due date) products possible. This order of lettuce was somewhat browned at the base (root end) and the tops were a bit wilted.
I find this lettuce to be hit or miss. Usually it’s pretty good but occasionally it is already starting to spoil even when it says it has a week or two left of life. That said, I love the convenience of it already being washed and ready to go. I find my salads turn out better because it’s already cleaned. I also really like being able to just grab what I need. So flavor wise, sometimes not the best. Texture is almost always great. Convenience is 100% the best feature of this and I find it goes to waste less because of it.
I was shocked when I saw the package of Better Crunch lettuce I had ordered. It was "rusty" on the bottom cut end and the spines of the leaves were also rusty looking! I didnt even bother to open it. The date was fine but the lettuce ready to throw.
The lettuce is yellow, soft and slimy. I will have to throw it away. This happens every time I order produce to be delivered. I wonder if pickers are told to choose the oldest produce to cut down on waste or are they kids and have no idea what fresh produce looks like.
what you get will depend on who is picking up your order. if you are doing delivery this will be rotten every time unless you message your driver and tell them not to bring you rotten lettuce. If you're shopping in person you'll have to dig through the containers to find one that isn't brown. I can't understand why they keep putting this clearly rotten stuff on the shelf when they have had to refund the cost almost every time. Also not happy with the delivery people who can see it and think it's okay to choose to pick it for an order that is tipping them well.
I have purchased this product 2 or 3 times And thinking that maybe I just misunderstood your ad because not 1 of those times did it have 2 romaine lettuce hearts in there it only had 1 and some loose leaves I like the premise of it But if I don't get what I'm paying for that makes me angry The 1st 2 times I purchased the product itwas very good This last time it was bruised and starting to spoil I did manage to keep it for a couple days and able to use it But it was not near as nice as the 1st 1And remember it's only 1 in there not 2
The lettuce I received was delivered to my home by a driver. It looked good at first but, underneath the top layer of lettuce leaves, the inside leaves had been cut and were turning brown. The inside leaves were 2 inches shorter than the one layer of outside leaves! This was a big disappointment as I had to discard the entire package of lettuce.
I used to live the produce at Walmart and particularly this lettuce. I got a delivery a few minutes ago and the lettuce was brown and wet. I couldn't believe it. I'm taking it back. I've had similar issues with celery being brown as though this stuff was in the freezer and then put out on the shelf
