Raw onions are not my favorite method of serving, but a very light sauté or even a brief microwave of chopped veggies in similar sizes with a little bit of olive oil and pepper, soy sauce, or basil vinegar provide crunchy additions to pasta salad, couscous, or any salad. These are quality and they go a long, long way, they are fresh and stay fresh. In comparison with onions use very little. I do substitute this in certain recipes for onions for just small amounts for me because the taste is so exquisite. Anything like this that's high tone is expected to be expensive so that's the only reason for the four stars. Well worth it!!!

Forgot how much I liked shallots. Have been using them a lot recently and although these are on the smaller side, they are good quality and a decent price.

I can eat Shallots!! Have hard time with onions and/or garlic being in food. Saw a show using shallots and gave them a try. Walmart's comes in a clear clam shell like container, and seemed to stay fresh a long time.

Excellent product for cooking and salads. Shallots are flavorful and usually milder than onions. These shallots are well priced and not more expensive than grocery store.

Fresh and the perfect size for cooking. I buy the same brand at other grocery stores for much more money. These are a great price at Walmart! So happy I can find these here!

They are obviously very fresh because they remain that way, without necessarily refrigerating them, for more than a week. Lovely to have handy. Thanks!

I don't get the poor reviews on these shallots hence my reason for making a review. I have been buying these for at least a year and they have been great everytime. Perfect flavor and little to no bad spots usually they are big shallots that have no bad spots at all which is rare to find on any vegetable. Seriously, if you let them sit around forever they are going to spoil, that doesn't mean you leave a bad review.

Interesting that the three shallots won't show as buyable, even though they are in the drop down box, yet they were substituted for the two shallots I had to order. Only using them for a recipe that sounds yummy.

I was so excited to cook with these shallots, but when I opened one of the packs, they were BLACK!! When I opened the other one, it was two baby yellow onions. Needless to say, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in you, WALMART!!
