Fresh Whole White Mushrooms, 16 oz

Remember The Little Girl With The Curl? OK, at least have heard of her? How about Googling her? Anyway, they said when she was good, she was very good, and when she was bad, she was very bad. That's Walmart produce. This time, the mushrooms were every good.

Wonderful White Button Mushrooms. I use them as Comfort Food > for Omelettes, Salad, Pizza, flavorful steak toppings, stews, mushroom/Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Snacks, healthier Potato chip %26 Tortilla chip substitutes, sauteing, Great Texture for omelettes, steak topping, %26 for dipping

Sometimes produce is not of the best quality on delivery orders - however - whomever pulled this order for me picked the absolute best mushrooms I've ever purchased. They were fresh, firm, very clean and tasty. I will purchase this brand from now on. And I want to thank Walmart for selecting and delivering fresh produce that exceeded my expectations.

We always love these mushrooms; however the last two times I ordered them they were covered with black nasty smelling dirt. It took a while to clean them and I had never received filthy mushrooms from any store before. I cleaned %26 peeled them and they seemed to be ok.

The mushrooms were starting to brown and were bruised. If I were in the store and making the selections I would not have selected these. But I know it's a risk having someone else get your produce. I'll just have to use them up quickly and not put them on delivery again.

The package of mushrooms showed deterioration and many of the mushrooms had soft black spots which had already started to rot. The odor was not good! The people who pick the orders should be trained to better spot food that has spoiled.

We love mushrooms and buy them often. When a grocer sells 16 ounces of mushrooms, the buyer should receive 16 ounces of mushrooms. This was a delivery order so we didn't have an opportunity to look at the package. The package had not been opened so I assume it was not tampered with. The mushrooms didn't even reach the top of the package. We weighed it and even included the carton they were in - and there were only 14 ounces. Not fair!

My review is low due to the quality. I had my groceries delivered and the last two weeks I’ve ordered mushrooms they’ve been very bruised, almost rotten! There needs to be a short lesson on picking produce!!! Not to mention the packaging was ripped.

The mushrooms were two days past the "use by" date when delivered. There were dark splotches and an off smell to them, but they were not yet slimy. I washed them well, cut off the darker spots, and cooked them in a slow cooker with beans. I had intended to eat them raw in salads, but could not.

They were whole, and they were mushrooms, but they were far from fresh. One, these mushrooms should not have even been available for picking, and two, the person doing the shopping needs to have their eyes examined. I've been happy with past purchases of mushrooms from Walmart, but after this order I hesitate to order them any more. Out of the bag, and right into the garbage. Do better, Walmart.
