Fresh Whole White Mushrooms, 16 oz

Sometimes produce is not of the best quality on delivery orders - however - whomever pulled this order for me picked the absolute best mushrooms I've ever purchased. They were fresh, firm, very clean and tasty. I will purchase this brand from now on. And I want to thank Walmart for selecting and delivering fresh produce that exceeded my expectations.

These are a fantastic value for these fresh whole mushrooms that I can use in countless ways in the kitchen. While they aren't sold for stuffing, there are plenty of good sized mushrooms that will work beautifully if you want to stuff and bake them for appetizers. They also make absolutely delicious sauteed additions to burgers and hot sandwiches, soups, red sauce, rice dishes and just to eat whole after being cleaned and dipped in some form of dressing with other fresh veggies. They are also nice and firm, quite clean for the most part, which makes preparing them quite a bit easier for me when I'm wiping them down for further preparation. And given that they are a good source of zero calorie nutrition for any dish, well, I love keeping these on hand.

My son kept telling me he doesn't shop at Walmart because the produce is bad. Well I have news for him the produce at Kroger which is where we normally shop goes bad a lot faster than Walmart produce. I live alone so it is hard to eat all of a lot of things. These mushrooms last for weeks without going bad. They stay fresh so long. I have found that with a lot of produce from Walmart.

Don't order these for delivery. They seem like rejects. If you order for pickup, check them before accepting. I order online from Sam's %26 they are always amazing. Unblemished, firm mushrooms are supplied. I keep hoping Walmart will give me similar, but they don't.

This is the fourth or fifth time in the past 6 deliveries that I received spoiled white mushrooms. They show the typical signs, such as brown spots and sticky texture. I don't have time to shop, much less return items. That's why I shop online and have my groceries delivered. Honestly, spoiled produce seems to be a recurring issue with this Walmart. I have gotten other spoiled produce, such as grape tomatoes and bell peppers, over the past several weeks. Please train your shoppers to distinguish between fresh and spoiled produce. For heaven's sake, please determine why spoiled produce isn't being removed from stock in the first place.

Totally disappointed, they were old and slimmed and Brown. They were not Cremini. They were baby Bella's and should've been White. I cleaned a bunch of them and then I tossed them all and had to run to Albertsons to buy more for my party. The expiration date I believe was the following day from their delivery so it hadn't expired. I assume that the shopper felt that by looking at the expiration date they would be fine. Well they weren't.

The mushrooms were two days past the "use by" date when delivered. There were dark splotches and an off smell to them, but they were not yet slimy. I washed them well, cut off the darker spots, and cooked them in a slow cooker with beans. I had intended to eat them raw in salads, but could not.

They were whole, and they were mushrooms, but they were far from fresh. One, these mushrooms should not have even been available for picking, and two, the person doing the shopping needs to have their eyes examined. I've been happy with past purchases of mushrooms from Walmart, but after this order I hesitate to order them any more. Out of the bag, and right into the garbage. Do better, Walmart.

I love to have mushrooms around for cooking but unfortunately I was given spoiled mushrooms on my last grocery delivery and had to get a refund. I love Walmart but produce seems to be a hit or miss. Never consistently a hit with produce and I don’t know why. Not sure if it’s the employee picking the produce or the are okay with selling spoiled produce
