Move over Apples, there's another 'Golden Delicious' %26 it's coming out of your air fryer after 35-min. @ 400°F. Just spritzed with your favorite oil, after poking deeply with a fork 3-4 times. Roll over after 20-min %26 put back in for another 15-20-min. Take out, cut in half to unveil the 'golden delicious' center, add your butter or marjorine and sour cream if you wish.
These potatoes are smooth, thin-skinned. Some large ones but not huge. Some smaller. I never peel these potatoes--just wash. Diced for chicken or beef soup. Also diced for flour-coated pork tenderloin and onion in skillet with more oil than a stir fry. Diced with more vegetables for curried chicken stir fry. These potatoes cook fairly quick.
Lovely potatoes for casseroles, and baking. Not as "fluffy" as the russet type, but they have a buttery texture (not flavor). I've heard some refer to it as "waxy". Newbie info: Watch out for the green parts and cut that off. If you have any doubts about if it's green (it will be clearly green not greenish), if it's "greenish" it probable is not going to hurt you. Remember to store in a dark spot till use to reduce the sunlight exposure and it turning green. Yellows seem to turn green quicker than other types in my experience.
Yellow potatoes are best for everything, in my opinion. They hold their shape in potato salad, as well as stew. They make great mashed or fried potatoes, and they're what I use in my potato/onion gratin because they're hold their own even after 3 hours in the oven.
The shoppers don’t check for the freshness or firmness of potatoes they just grab. I don’t know if they have stock that’s in the back room where they get the food from. It’s just sitting there ready to be expired or what but they don’t check the dates on the items.
The system of ordering, delivery and pick up streamlines the grocery shopping process efficient. Unfortunately, on every order, items are either substituted or not available or need to be shipped. My only suggestion to improve this valuable service would be to introduce market stock availability with real time inventory levels and availability for each individual market.
This bag of potatoes contains many bad potatoes, with two of them rotten. Now this begins in-store with your produce manager, but who would choose this for a customer's order? Please refund the money for this purchase. I appreciate your help, thank you! As an elderly lady, 85 I need delivery, it is difficult for me to shop stores. I can not return this item, easily or at all. I'm hoping my money can be refunded without return. Below wants me to take a photo I do not understand how to do this. Thank you for your help and professional courtesy
I ordered yellow potatoes and received Idaho baking potatoes .Cant employee s read??who ever did my shopping was utterly stupid. Also cracked the watermelon in half and to only place it on top of my bread, which was it smashed. Luckily John your employee who brought my stuff to my car , noticed it and got me a new loaf of bread and replaced the watermelon.Kudos to John excellent employee !!wish I could say more on my shopper. I guess they need to be educated on grocery shopping, SMH 6/4/25
All of walmart's potatoes are a grab bag of soft and rotten potatoes mixed in with a few decent ones. HEY, WALMART. YOUR POTATOES FROM LAST YEAR ARE NO GOOD ANYMORE. How about putting out some fresh ones. This is the same for the reds and russets. Both baking size and regular.
Every time I have ordered these, I have to spend most of my time cutting off the rotten parts. Should I order the small every time I have ordered these, I have to spend most of my time cutting off the rotten parts. Should I order the smaller potatoes? The larger ones? The red ones? What can I do to get good potatoes for potato salad? I'd love to add a picture of my last bag.
