Fresh Yellow Onions, 3 lb Bag

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These yellow onions were fresh, firm, and lasted a long time in my pantry. They're perfect for cooking just about anything—soups, stews, burgers, casseroles, and roasted vegetables. Great quality for the price, and I'll definitely be buying them again!

I did not come to this kitchen expecting to be undone. A bag of yellow onions makes no promises. It sits quietly in its red netting, humble, unbranded by ambition, asking only to be useful. And yet… I lifted the first onion into the light. It had the weight of something that had waited a long time to be held. I set it on the board, raised the knife, and made the cut, and that was when the tears arrived, soft and unannounced, the way grief sometimes visits a man who thought he was only making dinner. I wept. Not from sadness. From something older than sadness, something these onions seemed to already know. Each layer… I peeled gave way to another, and another beneath. I understood that an onion is just a small golden record of everything it has ever been, keeping nothing back, hiding nothing, releasing all of it into the air the moment you ask it to open. They cook down into a sweetness that tastes like the end of a long day finally letting go. They ask for nothing. They give everything. In return they request only that you stand in your own kitchen, blade in hand, and feel something honest for once. Five stars. They moved me more than most onions have.. Some experiences are worth the tears.

Always fresh, and so delicious. My little family and i love Walmart produce when it comes to fresh produce for a low price, we always pick Walmart. Veggies and fruit we purchase stay fresh for longer, have the best flavor, they always pick the best looking fruits and vegetables and we appreciate the quality care they put into the produce we buy to put in our dishes and on the table every day.

Yellow Onions are Multi-purpose. You can add them to a recipe or put a slice on a burger. They are middle of the road for heat. Vidalia are mild and sweet. Red are great in salads. White are perfect for chili and when you want strong onion flavor. The Yellow Onion can be used any way you want flavor but not so much it burns your mouth and makes your eyes water.

To be fair there has been a huge improvement in the " counter life" and taste . I decided to give em another chance and was very pleasantly surprised!! I must say Walmart does listen and takes action when it's feasible and always to the benefit of we the Customer! 👍

On a VERY tight grocery budget and I usually buy one 3lb bag of onions to last each month. There have always been 7-8 onions per bag. The bag I received today only has 4. Granted, they are bigger onions and they appear to be cleaner and fresher (almost weirdly honestly). I just normally don't use a half an onion at a time. Just be aware of the quantity if you are like me and need enough to last you a month also. 😉☺️

It's hard to know how to write these because they always look differently every time I buy them. Sometimes the outside will look perfect, but then you cut into them and they are sprouting or rotting inside. Sometimes they look rough on the outside, but then the insides are absolutely perfect. There's no consistency really. We love onions though and keep buying them so I guess that's on us.

I ran a quick trip to the store to grab some items. I tried to save time by purchasing a bag instead of picking out individual onions. As with almost any produce you buy pre-selected in a bag, you don't get to choose. Some had blemishes which I wouldn't have picked had I selected them individually.

Every time I buy produce from Walmart, there's always an onion in the bag that's rotten and the jalapeños are mold on them. Tomatoes are last day and they get mold on them so everything is very old and I'm very upset! I no longer want to buy produce from Walmart!
