Easy Oven Squash

Anonymous February 2, 2026

Fabulous easy oven meal. Wash and slice squash. Peel and slice Vidalia onions. Line a cheap 6"x 9" dollar store pan with foil. Sprsy with Pam. Toss squash and onions in a bowl, adding olive oil, salt and coarse grain pepper, toss well. Pour into the sprayed little pan. Fill pan 1/3 full with water, or less. Cover with foil. Cook in an oven that is 350 to 425° until done. It will take an hour or more, but you can leave it in longer if you just check to be sure the water has not evaporated. Cook to desired doneness. Great as part of an oven meal with meatloaf, baked potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, etc..

Yummy Yellow Squash

TXGma June 8, 2026

Great time for yellow squash. I love to use this variety because of the color it adds to food and the calories and fat it doesn't. The squash was fresh, vine tip still green and it was well hydrated and moist. It was used in a veggie mix that was prepped stove top, with zucchini, onion, bell pepper, "coolapena" pepper, and carrot chips. I toss it with olive oil and garlic and sometimes serve as a side, or add to pasta with alfredo sauce. When cooked this way and added to pasta, my non-veggie folks will eat it. Price is okay for early in the season. Enjoy the local produce!

Best tasting squash all around

Karen May 29, 2026

This squash tastes better than most stores offer. So I buy it. In summer the seeds get too big so I lay off buying for a few months. All squash bought in stores get big seeds in summer. But the rest of year Walmart's squash is better than other stores.

Toolies4bagoftricks February 1, 2026

I ordered two zucchinis and both of them were wrinkled and old and one was very bruised every time I order produce..... I keep telling myself I have got to stop ordering from Walmart!! Their produce is DESPICABLE!! I ASKED FOR YELLOW GREEN BANANAS WHAT DO I GET BROWN BRUISED BANANAS, I ORDER ZUCCHINI, YELLOW BELL PEPPER, MINI CUCUMBERS, ROMAINE LETTUCE THREE PACK, EVERY SINGLE THING I RECEIVED WAS POOR QUALITY AND OLD RASPBERRIES WERE MOLDED AND SMASHED!!🥵 IF I TAKE THE MOLD OFF MAYBE I CAN MAKE A SMOOTHIE.... MAYBE?? A POUND OF STRAWBERRIES MOLDED AND OLD I'M SICK AND TIRED OF GETTING CRAP IN MY ORDERS WALGREEN NEEDS TO TRAIN THEIR EMPLOYEES HOW TO REMOVE THE OLD CRAP AND ***TEACH THE SHOPPERS*** HOW TO SHOP FOR NEW FRESH PRODUCE, NOT PICK THE WORST THAT THEY CAN POSSIBLY FIND BRUISED OLD AND READY FOR THE TRASH!!! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER WALMART!!! 🤢😡🤯😭

They do not know when to throw the produce away.

karen October 21, 2025

small and not fresh. You could tell it was an old one. I am not sure i can trust walmart to pick out produce anymore. They have sent me rotten mushrooms, twice they sent me out bags of potatoes that were totally rotten. I had to throw them in the woods. I could not even stand to keep them in the house long enough to call and complain. It's like they use delivery to get rid of rotten produce. I am disabled and do not drive so i use this delivery system but i need someone who knows how to pick out fresh produce. Yes, they will refund you but if that was one of your meal plans then it does not help. also, you cannot order just one bag of potatoes to replace the rotten ones, which they gave you. They force you to order 35.00 or more then leave another tip for this delivery. They could at least wave the fee for the reorder. I live on a very small income, if i have to pay 6.99 and another tip to get the complete order then why am i paying for the yearly delivery? I might need to check into some other grocery stores and see if they are any better for next year.

The person picking the order to be delivered sent the smallest most shriveled yellow squash I had ever seen. It barely fit in the palm of my hand. The delivery driver was amazing. I probably will not be ordering produce through pickup or delivery anymore.

Not Fresh

Diana July 3, 2025

I ordered 6 Yellow Squash. 4 of the 6 are squishy/mushy. Maybe the shopper is to blame, but obviously the selection was terrible! Most of my complaints are because of Wal Mart produce anyway though. Never really fresh. Obviously workers aren't trained to pull the bad stuff either. Just frustrating.

This isn’t the first time I have received rotten vegetables or fruit. First time I am writing a review. Sent me 2 rotten squash. Come on people, look at the product. When it has a visible rotten spot, it’s rotten. When you can push your finger into the squash, it’s rotten. Obviously, no quality control training taught or you just don’t care.
