Are these the best? No...but I love these...stick them in the fridge for a day and they are awesome treats. Otherwise they do tend to fall apart too easily and make a mess everywhere but put them in the fridge over night or so and they are still messy but easier to eat and a nice cold sweet treat. Do be warned these are very sweet but good.
This is a terrific little treat! It is not a full slice of pie — but nowadays it might be just what you are looking for! The crust is amazing - crispy but smooth to the touch; the filling is topped with chopped pecans with a light flavor. not too sweet, but for me is just right, If you want to make it really special you can warm it up ( be careful to remove it from the pie tin, and use a low power for a few seconds — don't overheat and be careful or the pie can get very hot and burn your mouth). and top it off with Vanilla Ice Cream or Extra Value extra creamy whipped cream. The price is right — so there's nothing left to do I but try one and enjoy!!
I was very impressed with the taste, consistency, and the flakiness of the pie crust. Pecan pie is one of my favorite desserts and when pecans are not in season, pecan pies are difficult to fine. These pies are The portion size is perfect and the closest thing to homemade I've had regardless of them being in season or not!
The crust is flaky and tasty. (For some reason, other Freshness Guaranteed mini pies that I've had don't have the same flaky crust. Weird). And the filling is not sickly sweet like some pecan pie fillings. It is just right and the perfect size for one person to satisfy his or her sweet tooth.
it's the size of these pies that keeps me buying them. of course taste is delicious or what was the point be of buying them. living alone I would never be able to do a large pie most of it would probably end up being thrown out.. that's why these pies are the perfect size and they come in a variety of different fillings so I can have for instance pumpkin pie on Monday cherry pie on Tuesday etc...
The mini 4” pecan pies from Walmart- cute and delicious. Perfect size for a sweet treat. The pecan filling the perfect sweetness, the crust is fine, and I've always bought this little pies and tried different flavors as well. The price - very affordable.
I Love this pecan pie, as single person this is perfect size pie to buy whenever I get the craving for sweet treat! Though the price seems to creep up I still believe it's perfect size for a single.shoppers. Walmart sell a variety of these single serving size pies. Lemon, apple, chocolate to name just a few but pecan is my absolute favorite. I recommend you try them I'm sure you will enjoy them as much as I have %26 do on occasion.
the flavor is just like I remember from my Mom's heavenly pecan pies, fifty years ago. My only issue with this is that it has just a thin layer of pecan bits on top.. Now, I know that pecans rise to the top of the thick, heavy filling - they always did with my Mom's and mine...but it seems like the layer is gradually getting thinner with these mini-pies, but I swear next time I'll have two tablespoons of broken, roasted pecans, and push them down into the pie before I heat it. THEN it will be a rea; PECAN pie. without all the work of the filling and the homemade pie crust!
when I had this at Christmas it was much larger and you could give a smol piece of pie to four people. Shrinkflation hit, and this is so small it doesn't even taste the same, if that makes sense. The one that was double the size was just perfection. if you wanted a real sized piece of pie you could split it with another person. If you wanted to just have a smidge, The old one served four easily. This is about one serving, and the nuts are so chopped up they're imperceptible. Please go back to the original which was fantastic! Still good, but... sigh.
I bought three of these pies, and when I opened the bag, they were crushed, I don't know what she sat on them, but they were crushed until the boxes had crushed open. it's just hard for me to understand how people cannot watch. What they're doing, and just one time bring something edible.
