Freshness Guaranteed Amish Potato Salad, 16 oz

This is the ONLY potato salad I will eat other than the homemade potato salad I make. I learned to make potato salad from my mother when I was a teenager. I took my salad to parties and always went home with an empty bowl and people asking me for my secret recipe. Anyhow this is Amish Potato salad. I do not know if it is a true Amish recipe, but I do know it is delicious. It is sweet, has some onions in it and tiny bits of hard boiled eggs. Other store potato salads are bland and tasteless---this one is very good.

So many items I have gotten from the Deli area with the Walmart label are undercooked. I don't get it hard raw-like potatoes in the potato salad any kind you get and also in their Amish Macaroni salad which is like eating raw tough noodles with a dressing on them. I like my potatoes and noodles cooked so now I've got to stop trying every few months hoping to find they are fully cooking things where the label or directions say "fully cooked" . Walmart needs to read the description of the phrase "fully cooked".

I got food poisoning from this product. I believe that is because they store it incorrectly. Every time I buy it as discolored but this time I got sick from it so I won't be purchasing potato salad from Walmart anymore. It is just because of the way they stock it, the front ones always get too much light and it kills the food inside. I used Walmart delivery this time and they didn't pay attention to that. I usually grab from behind.

I never thought I would like pre-packaged potato salad but this one fills my cravings. I don't make this for myself but the taste is right there for me. Yes, it is on the sweet side but that was how my Mom made it . Another thing - the hard boiled egg is chopped finely so that it is not overwhelming. This was recommended by my best friend and I enjoy it. P.S. now that summer is coming - it will be hard to find this on the shelf😉

I happen to like potatoe salads with maximum traditional ingredients and Amish style fulfills my preference on taste, texture, great balance and proportions of favorite ingredient combinations achieving enjoyable 'mouth feel". I enjoy chunky texture with subtle crunch, slight sweetness to compliment the tartness of mustard. To me anything bearing Amish made means lack of lab made chemicals.

Excellent flavor, however, cooking time of the potatoes is inconsistent. Sometimes the potato ingredient is on point; at other times, the potatoes are under cooked which makes them difficult to chew..Either the difference in potato cooking time or the various batches should be monitored for consistency. If this problem is addressed, this product would certainly rate 5 Stars.

I love this potato salad. The first time I had it was at a party and I asked for the recipe. I was surprised to find out it was Walmart! I didn't know which one it was, though. Then one day my dad had mentioned it to me how the Amish potato salad from Walmart was the best he'd ever had. Now I know which one to buy! It's got a little sweetness to it that makes it stand out from a classic southern potato salad. It is so good!!

The container of Amish Potato Salad that I received was only half full. I didnt nottice this discrepancy until I tried to open it for lunch today. I've ordered this potato salad previously and always found it to meet all my expectations. I just wanted to tell you of the problem so the preparer of the order is aware of this and will be more careful in future orders.Thank you..

this is very good potato salad! not as good as the southern style potato salad I get at another store, but still quite tasty. I wish it had had a little bit more celery and pickle in it though, since I like some crunch in my potato salad. But I will definitely buy this again.

This is SO AWFUL, I wouldn't serve this to my enemies! it is always RAW! For once, ya think they'd cook the potatoes! EVERY TIME I PURCHASE EITHER SIVE, IT'S RAW, AGAIN! But no more! This last purchase was the swan song. The potatoes in it were crunchy, no, that's an understatement - the potatoes in that salad were still growing in the container! I will never, ever, purchase another container until they start cooking the potatoes. If you even try to eat it you will be sorry up to and including the two weeks it will take to digest this raw potato salad...yes indeed - it's that awful! If you use this in a food-fight at a picnic, one could get a serious concussion from a fist full of this crap upside their head.
