Tastes fresh, soft. I scooped some out to make room for my french dip beef.
I believe these buns have no preservatives, so they do not have a long shelf life; however, they are fresh, delicious, and so wonderful, they don't need to last long in the bread box, they're eaten within 3 days of purchase! You can store them in the freezer; or, if you don't think you can use the whole bag within a couple days, you can use them in bread pudding, use them to make croutons, or breadcrumbs for recipes.
too small and soft...it would be a decent hot dog bun but is a poor substitute for a large crispy proper brat roll
These are not what I ordered. They were substituted for fresh french steak buns. These buns are stale and a very. and a very. bad substitute.
The bread is delicious and everything else is good but the only thing I didn't like was that the bread expired the same it arrived. That is a no no for me.
This bread was past the expiration date, hard as a rock. Not what I paid for with the "Freshness Guarantee."
First, there are no cuts in the buns to open them for brats so you have to do it yourself. But that does not work, you have to cut out the entire center for the brat to go into and even then it fits terribly. Then, they are hard as bricks and taste like they were dried out in the sun for a week. Looking for buns for anything? = Keep looking it is not this. Use a soft taco shell instead, better than this chunk of whatever it is.
I've ordered this product a few times and when there's not black plastic rings in it theres mold
bread was hard I put in for a refund which was approved, but i have to take it in costing me more in gas than it is worth. o recrement purchasing perishables yo go into the store to select them your self not trusting the order pickers to pick the fresh stuff you want.
Got this bread through the curbside service (two packages). I picked it up on Friday, May 20, and went to serve it to my guess on May 21 when I realized that all the buns had mold on them. I was humiliated and embarrassed that some of my guest saw the moldy buns. Of course I had to throw them all away go to a different store and pick up new buns for the bratwurst. Before throwing all the buns away I looked at the expiration date and they had actually said on the label “good until May 19.” So Walmart put day-old buns in my order that were covered in mold. I am so disappointed and upset. I’ve tried calling the store four times today and no matter which department I tried to get through to I was getting a consistent busy signal. Get it together Walmart!
