🥺. . . awww, what happened to the cute little icing "carrot" on top?? It was so charming!!😍 Aside from that; compared to any other grocery store in town, Walmart's "Freshness Guaranteed" carrot cake is absolutely the best I have ever tasted!! Been "addicted" for years!! The larger (round) sizes are equally delicious. Yum!!😋👍🏼
This is my tried and true I'll get as a treat once in a while. It's been a long time since I indulged in a slice. It is a pretty decent sized slice and very thick. The spice is just right, it's not too sweet, but there's barely any carrots. I would like to taste carrot more. I'd say this is more of a spice cake. HOWEVER, i was disappointed to find that the signature orange carrot shaped frosting and crunch topping wasn't there. It really added to the experience and that orange frosting did have its own flavor. It's sad to see Walmart doing the bare minimum now. It's good, but for $2.44 on sale, that's too much. I won't reach for this much, if at all.
for the first time I dared to read the nutritional label. there is no way this has as many grams of fat as the label states. it used to have more frosting so perhaps the label is just out of date? this was on sale so I was very happy. this particular piece was a little dry which was a good thing because I only ate the top half. this is big enough to split into two or four servings. just depends on your appetite. but I do recommend and I do continue to buy!
The reason I gave this such a low rating is because the people that pull my order don't notice the date on the package. The bakery, in my opinion, is not doing their job as far as pulling items that are either expired or should maybe be at a discounted price because of the date. I cannot go into the store to shop so, I have to rely on the In-Home delivery service. I wish there was some way to get the people that pull my order to pay attention to the dates instead of just grabbing the first one they see. My previous order of this carrot cake was expired when it was delivered to me. The order that I received a couple of days ago had a date of the same day that it was delivered. I am all by myself and will only eat half of it, then maybe a day or two later eat the other half. It is frustrating having the cake dried out before I can eat it all!
In the past, Walmart's Carrot Cake Slices from the Bakery had icing with an Orange Carrot on top of the cake. I'm not sure why it has been completely from the cake is puzzlingly to me. Please add the orange carrot 🥕 with the green stem back to the cake slices. I have asked on several occasions why, but no one has really given me answer. Other than that, I love shopping at Walmart.
Haven't tasted it. Not mine to tasted. It is for a Congratulations party tonight. The icing is smeared all over the inside of the container because it was delivered upside down. I don't know how I'm going to fix it because there are cake crumbs in the icing.
This carrot cake was very disappointing- it seemed to be made from a mix rather than in a bakery as it was previously. The texture was dry and crumbly, and there were almost no carrots, no raisins or nuts, and it was not moist as expected. I could get better results making a box mix. In short, I definitely will not be buying this again!
The recipe has changed, and the cute icing carrot has been removed from the top. Doesn't taste right. Very thin frosting. It's obvious the company is cutting corners to save money, but still selling for a higher price. Will not recommend. Doesn't taste good. Don't buy it.
This is the worst carrot cake I've ever tasted, It is bland. It has no carrots and no spice. It tastes like a bland white cake made to look like carrot cake. The frosting isn't very good either, more like white frosting rather than cream cheese frosting. It was lacking flavor and tasted very synthetic. Like off-brand white frosting from a dollar store. It was very disappointing and barely edible.
Someone forgot to add the carrots, resins, and nuts. This was not a carrot cake it was a spice cake. So very dry compared to an actual carrot cake, but no one bothered to put carrots in it so there you go. The only thing that was a little like a carrot cake wS the icing. Otherwise it was a spice cake.
