Freshness Guaranteed Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing, 36 oz (Refrigerated Cakes)

I see a bunch of people saying they only taste the spices on the carrot cake. I taste it all and this is by far one of the best pre-made cakes I've ever bought. Don't waste your time with many of Walmart pre-made cakes as they're typically dry and flavorless. But the carrot cake is moist and completely flavorful with the different spices and carrots. Definitely worth a try.

Have bought this particular size carrot cake here before and it was absolutely delicious. It was definitely a carrot cake with shredded carrot throughout and a great flavor. This one, well, I could tell they changed the recipe even though the label doesn't show it. I know it by the change in flavor and texture. Gone are the shreds of carrot and replaced with small snippets of it. Also, the carrot flavor is gone and replaced with barely a hint of carrot and definitely spice. I do not like SPICE CAKE. That was the reason I stopped purchasing the smaller 5" cake. They turned it into a SPICE CAKE with carrots. A very strong flavor of SPICE in that one. UNFORTUNATELY, that seems to be the direction this larger version is heading.😟

I ordered this cake because they were out of the other cakes that were $6 but to my surprise they charged me $12.98 for the $6 cake I should have gotten a bigger cake the cake was small. it tasted okay I think I can make better the icing was not as good.

Not all of this review is aimed directly at the product...The product does not have substance,,,just blender batter...I would not have ordered it in the first place but part of this review as mentioned falls at inept of Walmart..I did not order this cake I ordered a small one from a different co...they were out and subsituted it without my permission then charged me double...It is an insult to thing that Walmart is so arrogant that behavior like that is acceptable..Victorianna

The only reason I don't recommend this cake is because it doesn't taste like carrot cake even slightly. Now, maybe my taste buds have changed but I highly doubt they have changed that much. Better to go to an actual bakery for these sort of cakes. This cake didn't taste like anything to me. The icing was a bit sweet but that was all.

I never used it because I wanted just a one piece of cake and they gave me this thing too big for one person so I gave it to my neighbor I don't know what it taste like.

Tasted like a spice cake. Found no carrots, raisins, or walnuts. Three frosting carrots on top does not make it a carrot cake! Terribly disappointed and will not purchase again.

I ordered the 5" because it seems to taste much better than the larger size. Additionally, the larger size seems crumbly, dry and flavorless. Even the frosting seems different. After inquiring, I was told 'they are the same recipes', I disagree. However, I usually order from another location 🤔.

We usually get the small carrot cake, which is delicious !! Walmart was out of the small one so we approved this one for delivery. It crumbles when cut. The frosting cracks, its just not good. It isn't outdated, it is just Not Good !

thia cake was dry, no real favor other than cinnamon and hardly any frosting inside. and after a couple slices there was a HAIR baked insde this cake. disgusting. i know it wasnt anyone in our household. it really made my stomach turn.
