So much faster than chopping your own! It's just the right proportions for a single recipe. When I make this myself I end up with leftover vegetables that never get used and it takes ages. My only complaint is that they could be chopped a little bit smaller. If I really need the veggies minced fine I just chop it up some more before throwing it in the pot, but that's still far better than starting from scratch.
I use this Freshness Guaranteed diced mirepoix blend often and really like it. It’s a great shortcut when cooking and saves a lot of prep time. The mix of onion, celery, and carrots is classic mirepoix, which is the base for a lot of soups, sauces, and stews. Having it pre-chopped makes starting a recipe quick and easy. It tastes fresh, cooks evenly, and works in so many dishes. For me, it’s convenient, reduces waste, and makes cooking feel simpler. I keep buying it.
This saves so much time if you want to give a quick meal that extra pop, or if you want to cook a homemade but don’t exactly have time to spare to chop them yourself, and even better if you have trouble and pain when chopping, this saves all that! It’s just wonderful to have this convenience and it’s still affordable.
This is perfect for a quick pot of homemade split pea soup. Just rinse your split peas, add them and the specified amount of water per your recipe to your pot, add a carton of the mirepoix, bring to a boil reduce the heat and simmer according to your recipe! I use one carton per cup of split peas. Easy peasy!
This is a real convenience to me. I use the onion and celery combination for chicken salad and tuna salad. I don't have to buy celery and buy onions that will never get used up. The carrots get tossed, unfortunately. I just wish they stayed fresh longer, but I will continue to use.
this is amazing! should be kept in stock always!!! my most ordered item. saved me having to chop veggies for a dish zi created. I love this item so please no price increase. fresh veggies. just love will recommend but scared to do so.
This diced mirepoix blend is super fresh and perfectly chopped. It saves prep time and adds great flavor to soups, stews, and sauces. Very convenient and reliable quality—definitely a staple to keep on hand.
I Bought Chopped Vegetables and Accidentally Became a Chef. I don’t want to be dramatic, but this Freshness Guaranteed Diced Fresh Mirepoix Blend has fundamentally altered my personality. The moment this 10 oz container entered my fridge, my kitchen gained confidence. I opened it and suddenly my soup tasted like it had a backstory. The onions, carrots, and celery are perfectly diced, like they trained for this their whole lives. I saved time, energy, and possibly my marriage because no one had to watch me cry over onions. I now walk past the stove with purpose. Even unopened, the box radiates culinary authority. I didn’t just buy vegetables. I bought ambition, efficiency, and the illusion that I meal plan.
Ordered for my grocery pick up and needed it that day, and it was 24 hrs until expiration date, however not only was the seal broken on the container, the top layer of celery was already rotting :( I'm disabled, so I sent my aide back to return/exchange which Walmart was good about but when my aide went to get a new package, they had all expired and all were rotting; she had to go to a different grocer
It seems like each time I buy from the Walmart deli and have my items delivered I receive old product. This was the second time I purchased this item and the problem with the freshness is still the same - its old and nearly rotten. I have my products delivered because the store is so far away and its difficult to get there to shop myself so returning the bad product isn't feasible nor economical, but that's what Walmart requires you to do. Drive 20 miles to return $2.00 worth of old product. Do better Walmart. Your C-level executives certain do.
