This bread is absolutely delicious—perfectly toasted. Personally, I use it to make Mexican capirotada, and it turns out incredible. The price is excellent.😋
These are so good for a quick snack! Grab one or two and you are set till dinner - even better with a scoop of peanut butter or Swiss cheese on top! But the real reason I purchase these bags of crispy bread slices is to break up and put on top of my salads! OMG, they are delicious in my garden salads with any kind of dressing! My family loves them! I also break them up in many kinds of soups too - tomato, chicken noodle, vegetable soups! Just whatever you can think of - they add a great taste and texture to many foods!
These little breads are amazing. I make a melted garlic butter (just melt butter and add garlic powder with a dash of salt). I paint it on the bread generously, then toast them up to a crisp. We use these with cold meat and cheese platters in place of crackers. We also make tuna and put it on them as a midnight snack. The crunch is amazing. I imagine you could make avocado toast or cinnamon toast as well. I’m going to give my husband these as a stocking stuffer LOL. JUST KIDDING.
I usually make my own crostini’s, but I was short on time this week so I added it to my delivery order- first of all I was SHOCKED at the size of the bag! It’s rare anymore to find a genuinely good deal, and I was so impressed that it actually gives you your moneys worth. Secondly- they were amazing! We enjoyed a rare cold snap in Texas so I was absolutely shifted into soup mode and these were enjoyed with every bowl of soup my family had and everyone loved them! I’ll be getting these again for my holiday charcuterie board and cheese boards!! They are that good!
I bought a bag of these Toasted French Bread Crostinis on a whim on a recent freezing cold day, when I decided to make French Onion Soup at the last minute. Usually I would buy the French Bread slice it, brush it with olive oil and then bake it in the oven. I didn’t know how it would work but I just brushed some olive oil on the already prepared toasted crostinis %26 put them on top of my onion soup before topping it with Guyer cheese and putting the soup crocks under the broiler to cook. They came out PERFECT %26 my guests loved them! And saved me a couple of extra steps %26 time! My family enjoyed snacking on the leftover crostinis.
Didn’t expect to be impressed by Walmart crostini, but here we are. These are crunchy without trying to break a tooth and neutral enough to go with literally anything you pile on top. Straight out of the bag, no toasting, no effort—just doing their job like a champ. For the price, they punch way above their weight. I’ll absolutely keep these in my pantry.
Quite bland but last a long time and don’t go bad easily. I usually get these when I make spinach artichoke dip for the family. Plus you can smash them up or run them through the food processor if you need breadcrumbs for meatloaf night. Just be sure to add some spices because they are plain.
This batch, which i had delivered, was over-toasted and stale. i had a different batch at a friend's house, bought at a different Walmart, that was toasted perfectly and fresh... much better. The Super Walmart where i usually shop doesn't even sell these...i had to order from a neighborhood Walmart.
the person that deliver the product ruins it by caring a all of the bags at once, so by the time I receive then they are no longer crostini's, at best they become crouton, and at worse panko
Well, I only rated it bad because it's never in stock! I used to buy what looks similar to this at Fresh Market. Whole Foods and Publix but Wal-Mart advertises it and i order it again and again and it's always out of stock when they say it's there. I'm just tired of Wal-Mart advertising this product and letting my pay for it and then later told they're sorry it's out of stock today. Yeah right! I don't think they ever have it!
