Great time saver. Very fresh tasting and lasted longer in the container than diced onions I have purchased from other stores. I found very few "bad" or "root" pieces in the containers that I have purchased. Could be a little easier to close the container as it tends to buckle as you try press in the last corner. I think customers that do not like to chop and dice onions will be pleased with the quality, and the tear free experience a purchace of this product will provide.
Man, these are a staple. I always buy a couple at time. I've loved the consistent and reliable quality these diced yellow onions have provided me over the years. Cutting onions is something I do rarely. Some of the other reviews have mentioned short shelf life. But that's not my experience. I do tend to keep them in the refrigerator when I plan on using them immediately. But, they have lasted for weeks in my refrigerator. They become slightly translucent, but they have never gonna bad on me. If not, they just go in the freezer. So convenient and these are delicious onions. 🌰 🧅 🌰
I was really impressed with these! They were very fresh when I got them, and even better—they lasted a long time in the fridge. I actually forgot about them for a bit, and they still didn’t go bad quickly like I expected. Super convenient and great quality. I’ll definitely keep buying these!
These diced fresh yellow onions are a wonderful time-saver without sacrificing quality or flavor. They were fresh, crisp, and had the perfect onion taste for soups, casseroles, burgers, tacos, and other everyday recipes. The pieces were evenly diced, making meal prep quick and convenient with no peeling or chopping required. The resealable package helps keep the onions fresh, and the quality has been consistently excellent. If you're looking for a convenient kitchen staple that saves time while delivering fresh flavor, I highly recommend Freshness Guaranteed Diced Fresh Yellow Onions.
Its worth the money because it saves time of cutting and peeling the onions. A fresh onion definitely has a better fresher taste but hey, you get what you pay for. Would recommend if you dont loke cutting onions but the only last maybe 3 days in the fridge so you better plan on using them quick.
I liked the product just fine. I feel like the shoppers that are picking the order need to look better at the quality of the product when picking. I get this product a lot, but sometimes get packages that are close to being bad. If the people shopping if it is the in-house shoppers or Spark need to be a little pickier when selection item.
I received these onions a week ago 10/5 and they had the expiration date of 10/13.. so many many days before they expired. However, since Walmart has stopped putting in a moisture catching packet at the bottom of the onions, they do not last. I went to use them 4 days ago and they had already started turning gray and were rotting. I will never again purchase these onions unless I intend to use them the next day or sooner... because the expiration date is useless! And inaccurate!!
Did not keep past 2 days in the fridge. Watery and very soft. Strong smell since they were not fresh. I do get mine as a delivery but usually I have much better quality. The date was only 2 days to use it too, which makes me think that they don't look at the expiration dates very well. They are more pricey but I prefer ease when it comes to chopping onions.
It never fails that every time I order diced onions, they come expired. Today is 9/16/2025 and these expired on 9/7/2025. This time was by 9 days past “use by date”. The Walmart employees are obviously not emptying shelves for expired items and the shoppers aren’t checking dates. I pay for a service and should be able to count on it. Now to get new onions, I have to do a new $35 order or pay and extra $8 for delivery! I’m tired of this happening and am ready to cancel my Walmart .
WalMart has a bad habit of giving you rotten or very near rotten fruits and veggies when you place a WalMart pick up order. When you notice it 2 or 3 days later as you're about to cook it is very aggravating. Unfortunately, we have wasted too much money by placing those orders.
