Freshness Guaranteed Fresh Seeded Rye Sandwich Bread Loaf, 17 oz Loaf

For people who like Rye bread, this is very flavorful. While there are many good quality ryes out there, not a lot of them actually HAVE seed Rye in them. I personally like to see and taste the seed, so was thrilled when I found this Rye from the Walmart Bakery. The loaf is always fresh and so flavorful. If I had any kind of complaint, it would be that not always can I find it in stock. I have gotten in the habit of getting two loaves at a time but sometimes that isn't even viable. So good, glad to see that Walmart handles it in the Bakery.

Neighbor tried to pick this up for me, bakery employee had no knowledge of it’s whereabouts OR even existence tho i have been buying it for long time. It is my fave ! Had to take a pix of the wrapper %26 UPC code %26 send to her to FINALLY locate it, luckily for me that worked !

This rye bread with seeds is very good. Its soft bread/crust and rye seeds provide a good rye taste. I grew up with delicious rye bread with seeds thanks to my grandma from Poland and my grandpa from Slovakia as well as to it being served at all our family gatherings. I'll buy it again.

Sometimes its nice and soft but usually the loaves are on the hard side. There's no set slice size but when its thick and hard, only the wettest of tuna will do. At least it keeps for a week before going bad, unlike the Marketside Italian bread which turns into a science experiment in two days.

I prefer a seeded, light rye bread. Tasted is good, bread soft, texture nice. But I want my seeds throughout the bread, not the outside. What a mess! Seeds falling off the outside, the bag was full of seeds. Mix them in the dough, not sprinkled all over the outside! Will not purchase moving forward.

I've purchase this "Freshness Guaranteed" seeded rye bread for several years but sometime in 2025 it disappeared from the listings in my area of South Carolina. April 2026 it reappeared. Buyer beware!...this is NOT the same as the previous bread. The "old" version had an open chewy texture, great rye flavor, and an abundance of caraway seeds. This new version is nothing more than white bread with a few - and I mean very few - seeds and no discernible rye taste at all. I ordered delivery of 4 loaves to stock the freezer so did not see before purchase. Had I been able to shop in-store, I'd have taken one look and known to not purchase. I assume Walmart has a new supplier, and being Walmart, has emphasized cost over quality. WM, you have just fooled me once, I will NOT, no, not ever buy this bread again.

this rye bread was past its pool date it was not fresh that's why I was gave it low ratings usually when I order rye bread it is excellent please do not send me stuff that is past pull dates or on the day that I receive it it's a pool date they are not of quality also bananas I've requested several times that you send me more green than yellow bananas bananas when you send them bright yellow they're ready for banana bread that is not good okay sorry that I'm complaining but this is the only way I can get my groceries as I am blind and I certainly need help please please keep me as a customer thank you

Very disappointed. The previous loaf loaf of Dark or Rye was amazingly fresh and tasty. Much better than the Pepperidge Farm brand name. It was out of stock and so they sent me this instead. It does taste modestly of rye but it has none of the Fragrant freshness and softness of the previous loaf. I would definitely buy that one again but I won't allow a substitution because this one just tasted like dull white bread with Caraway seeds. It dried out faster too. Could have been bad luck so I wouldn't say don't buy it. But unless I had extraordinarily good luck with the other one Have to say it's a lot better.

This bread has thick cut slices of a good seeded Jewish rye bread. I usually get it when in Miami Beach and it seems to have much more rye seed in and on it than the one I bough in S. Carolina. Maybe it’s just the Jewish population intensity. I’ll order another when I need it, might have been only this batch.

Bread was out of date and moldy. I have had significant problems with the freshness of food since coming to Texas in January. This includes fresh vegetables and fruits as well as bread and meat. Groceries are too expensive for people to put up will receiving spoiled goods. Please teach your shoppers what is acceptable.
