Thank goodness Walmart carries fresh Madeleine cookies %26 they deliver them! Madeleine cookies are a French pastry that's part cookie in a beautiful shell shape! I love their rich buttery taste, but not sweet. They are dense, but soft baked in unique ‘shell' molds. For years I bought them at Costco, last couple of years were a hit or miss item, plus Costco is minimum 30 minutes away. Last year I discovered Madeleines in Walmart's bakery %26 delighted these cookies are fresh with a lengthy expiration date! I highly recommend Madeleine cookies %26 trust the freshness of all Walmart bakery goods.

I had first discovered the Madeline cookies at one of our local food banks during covid. it was nice having something special and they were so delicious, perhaps a touch sweet but I won't complain about that. I do wish the pricing was a little bit lower.

A great delight to my taste bud's

Jill January 20, 2026

These are one of my favorite sweet snacks to have on hand for tea or for a party. I like how tasty they are and my friends say that they like that they are low carb. I have Them on hand at parties and often see the children enjoying them in many ways even making smores with them.

FRENCH DELIGHT 😋😋🐾🐾

Barbara July 2, 2025

😲 WOW!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋😋 I really didn't expect these wonderful cookies to be as good as they are. They taste almost homemade like I used to make. They are very flavorful with vanilla and butter you can savor. They were moist and did not fall apart. The experiation date was weeks away. I am Sooooooo Happy 😊😊 that I tried them and will definitely buy again. P.S. my 15 year old Chihuahua also gives his approval 🐾🐾

DONNA November 2, 2025

interesting little cookie texture not as soft as I thought they would be and after just a few hours being in a container it was a little dryer so if you want to keep them put them into another ziplock bag as soon as you get them and maybe they'll stay a little bit nicer refresher

A Favorite from the Bakery

traci September 2, 2025

These are one of my favorites from the walmart bakery. They are so good... alone, I just grab a couple when I'm walking by or with coffee. (I love to dip them lol) They are just the right amount of sweetness IMO... but I do like to get fresh ones that haven been sitting out there for a week. I have gotten some that are a bit dry and just seem old. But when fresh.... I absolutely love them! One more thing is I feel like fragile baked goods like this are not handled carefully when being delivered. I've received smushed donuts and crushed boxes and when I had these cakes delivered last, they kinda looked a bit shaken up.

Like Eating Tasteless Cookie Dough!

Sally February 17, 2026

Cookies??? They taste like stale cookie dough partially baked! I set them out for the 2 stray dogs that come here every day. They usually appreciate about everything I give them. Not this time though!! They gave me the "LOOK!" What Is This Stuff?? %26 walked away! They preferred canned dog food to these "Cookies???" Waste Of Money!!

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!

Mommalou October 28, 2025

Your old Walmart brand Madeline cookies were absolutely PERFECT!! Light. Full of that delicate shortbread flavor. Great soft texture. Touch of sweetness . A perfect accompaniment to morning coffee, afternoon tea, snacks. It's October 2025. . I just got the Walmart bakery brand Madeline cookies in the new packaging. You changed suppliers didn't you! because we all want to save pennies. But you shot yourself in the foot on this one!! NOT EDIBLE!! They look different, greasy. They are tough. Chewy. Flavor like cheap oil with a tad of coconut. Oily nasty and fit only for the garbage can! Shame on you. You have in the past been very good about insisting on quality! Not this time! Good Madeline's are a delicate shortbread cookie well worth the six bucks plus price as a special luscious treat. I've bought scores from you. Almost every week! But you're now losing a nice little bundle of money from now on from me because I am p.. mad-pardon me-miffed at tossing hard earned almost six and a half bucks in the TRASH!! What's wrong with corporations these days throwing quality out the window! Greed will get you in the end. Gran Winnie always said “if it ain't broke DON'T FIX IT!!”

I bought some a few weeks ago that were made by the one and only Sugar Bowl Bakery. Their cookies are delicious - their first ingredient is butter. on these sugar islisted as the 1st ingredient. Not the same buttery taste. Better to buy these at Jewel - they sell the original Sugar Bowl Bakery under the Overjoyed brand.

Disappointed

Zsa May 23, 2025

Although the item is advertised on its package “Freshness Guaranteed” what I received was a not completely pressed closed packaging with contents that were dry enough to crumble when touched even though the expiration date reads 06/12/2025. Because I opened them and touched them I feel I haven't any other option left than to speak out. And just to be clear I would not even be speaking out if this wasn't one more in a series of delivery mishaps that are starting to add up. I understand how popular delivery must be and how busy that makes WalMart, but when grocery delivery is your business shouldn't you be able to do it well and most certainly with a minimum of mishaps? There were two mishaps in my order of 16 items. And the order prior to that there was an issue and the one prior to that. I don't know the return process and how much inconvenience it is for everyone including myself, but in all honesty, I am perhaps very, very close to being forced to find out.
