Freshness Guaranteed Marble Rye Sandwich Bread, 20 oz, 1 Loaf

This bread is legit. You can tell pretty quickly that it's made with real ingredients because it molds faster than ultra-processed bread — and honestly, I consider that a good sign. It tastes fresh and doesn't have that overly shelf-stable texture some breads do. We started freezing it since we don't use the whole loaf right away, and it defrosts beautifully. No weird texture changes, no dryness — just tastes like fresh bread again once thawed. The flavor is also exactly what you want from marble rye. It has enough character to stand up to fillings without being overpowering, which makes it perfect for sandwiches, especially Reubens. What I liked: • Fresh taste and texture • Real ingredients (not overly processed) • Freezes and defrosts very well • Great flavor balance • Perfect for Reubens or hearty sandwiches Things to know: • Because it's fresher, it doesn't last as long at room temperature — freezing helps Overall, this has become my go-to rye bread. Quality is noticeably better than many store brands, and it works perfectly for what we use it for. Would buy again? Absolutely.

Brings back the flavor of those special sandwiches Mom would make during summer break from school. So good i wouldnt even remove the lettuce or tomato! Now, it's I that is trying to sneak in an extra tomato or lettuce leaf for a little taste tester. I could never find this bread on the West Coast, glad to see it available here.

Enjoyed this very much. Had some every day this week and still fresh. Satisfied my craving for rye bread and it had a good flavor. Was good for sandwiches, and even as toast. Bet it would go well with kielbasa or bratwurst. Definitely am going to buy it again tomorrow, and maybe every week.

This is incredible! I've never eaten rye bread before, but just randomly come across it on the website when I was looking at other Freshness Guaranteed bakery items. I decided to try it since I had read somewhere that Rye is much more nutritious than other wheat breads and that's why it's more popular in other countries. I just made buttered toast with this and it was so good I had to go back and make another piece! Delicious taste plus it has that nice chewy texture you only seem to get from bakery or European made breads with a crisp crust. I thought I would give Rye a chance since I bought this other bread that I think was called boule from the Walmart bakery that was also good. I think this bread may be my go-to bread from now on for toast or sandwiches though I may still get the Lewis NutOat bread for peanut butter sandwiches.

or texture of the bread was excellent and the Crumb was perfect. I found the flavor to be spot on. the marbling was very nicely done. the crest was nice in my opinion it could have been just a bit chewier but other than that it was very good. I definitely would buy it again. oh and I found it very interesting that a rye bread was sliced that thick it was very good I enjoyed that a lot. I don't think I would change a thing. it was a fine product good job Walmart

This rye marble bread is delicious toasted. I don't like whole caraway seeds but these are ground and don't get stuck in my teeth. I will make grilled cheese with slices of white Vermont cheddar cheese and sliced tomatoes ripened in the vine. YUMMY 😋😋

This item was substituted from Bread City's marbled rye, which I love. This item was substituted from Bread City to Freshness Guaranteed. I usually don't like this company because their bakery items were not up to my standard. This bread was a good second.

I recommend the bakery prepared Marbled Rye bread with one caveat. The bread had mold on it within three days of opening it up. We love the bread, but spoiling so quickly was disappointing. Also, we'd like to see the bread sliced much thinner than the thick slices as sold.

If you are a fan of seedless rye bread, I would highly recommend the Walmart bakery's New York sliced rye rather than the Marble Rye Sandwich Bread. The New York Rye has a much stronger rye flavor and my husband and I both feel it is a superior product over the marble rye which is a "mild" rye bread. Kids may prefer the milder rye over the stronger.

This bread was hard as a brickbat but I didn't have a chance to open and discover this until the following day. Unfortunately life is busy so no clue when it could've been returned and likely by then it would've reached it's expiration date. I got tired of looking at it sit and have no need for door stops so I finally chunked it. I don't recommend this.
