I keep sandwich makings and basic sides in the fridge for the week in case I end up at home and don't want to go out. I like both versions of the macaroni salad being sold the amish and the original, not really sure what the difference is to tell the truth doesn't really taste different to me. You get a good sized container for the price.
I brought the macaroni salad to try all the ready to eat salads at Walmart. I must admit I was satisfied and full. The delicious macaroni salad went with some crispy chicken and a vegetable. I had about two servings of the salad at one time which may not be healthy, but that was how good the macaroni salad is when eating the macaroni salad. I am glad the ready to eat macaroni salad minimized cooking for me. The did not use the macaroni salad as a dip, but it definitely was a side dish. Thank you, Walmart.
I am a stage 4 kidney patient. This means that I cannot binge, or overdo it on this product. It is very good, but after several tablespoons full, I cut myself off. I recommend this produck, but be aware of some of the ingredients, bear in mind moderation, and you will enjoy this product w/o the guilt of "overdoing" it.
The salad tasted like homemade. The macaroni was firm, yet done perfectly al dente. It was creamy, not too much dressing. it fed us multiple portions. It is a convenient product to use for picnics, office parties, or just a side to a home cooked meal. I will buy it again, certainly.
Great macaroni salad. My family loves it and when I have served it for guests they enjoy and want to know where I purchased. Also a good price. Highly recommend.
I always buy the macaroni salad and is usually very good.....but something has changed....the macaroni was still hard and needed to cooked longer. The sauce has a totally different taste, rather sour. Very bummed and now I will be hesitant to get it again.
i had gotten these macaroni and potato salads from walmart before. i was extremely happy with the first purchase i made. it wasnt dry, it was....normal? but the next time i ordered some like a week later, it was pretty much soup? i probably could have filled a cup with the liquid in it. just, strange to me, the general consistency was so wild i didnt end up buying these things a third time.
We order groceries so we don't need to go in the store. in the last two weeks of orders we had macaroni salad come to us with dried noodles between lid and plastics seal and the seal opened. Got a loaf of bread without a zip tie and opened in the grocery bag. Put next to other loaf same size and pieces missing. And in the past outdated product and moldy or juicy grapes. Really considering leaving Walmart and giving Fry's our business. Not worth gas to take product back to store. But tired of losing $4-7 dollars or more each delivery. Zip tie missing. opened seal, bad outdated product. You would think the shoppers would be more careful with people who shop regularly, but they just don't care.
The inner plastic seal, under the removable lid, was loose on 2 of the 4 corners ... no way to know if that occurred at the factory, or in the Walmart store, or while in the delivery drivers car (many of the drivers have young children in the car with them during the trip from the store to our addresses). It's possible that sometimes a child opens the product to taste it, with their fingers, etc.? Walmart should seal all 4 corners of the lid before "bagging" the product, or, after scanning the item, place it in one of their plastic bags, twist and seal it, and place it into a 2nd bag, so that it can't be so easily opened on the trip from the store to the customer's address by someone riding in the car. I will not take a chance of eating something that could have been deliberately tampered with. Young children should not have such easy access to open a product and potentially contaminate it. Please, Walmart, make it tougher for this to happen. Especially on food items that have plastic lids that don't have adequate safety seals. It should also be done at the plant where the food items are being packaged into containers with lids on them that are too easy to open ... seal all 4 sides before it leaves the factory itself --- !!! Thank you ...
This product represents itself to be macaroni salad. Shame on them, because it is not. It is a bunch of semi coated macaroni with a few bits of something in it. I didn’t even attempt to rescue it with add ins. What a disappointment! Totally surprised that Walmart even stocks this item.
