Egg Salad is delicious. I ha e not been able to find it in a Larger size. Seasoning is fresh, much better than I csn make. Great for sandwiches and Dipping! Highly recommended. Always check expiration date. They have sent me out dated, had to request return/ refund.
Prepared Egg salad is pricey, in my opinion, so I never buy it. I bought it this time because my toddler grandchild was staying a week and I needed lunch ideas. We shared some over lunch and we both were impressed. I like it for its simplicity - not oniony or relishy. No crunchy celery bits. Tasted fresh. Small pieces of egg so the flavor was consistent throughout. Definitely will buy again.
Freshness Guaranteed Egg Salad is fresh, can't blended so well that the taste is supreme to other egg salads. My whole family enjoys the egg salad and the consistency of freshness and taste it makes such great sandwiches, or a snack with crackers. Very enjoyable to have at a family celebration.
I find consisyent quality in this Deli Egg Salad. The seasoning, texture %26 overall quality have been consistent for over a year since purchasing a container about every 2 weeks. My only suggestion for fine - tuning it to my liking/need==If you would make available a larger container, [greater quantity] of this product with extra egg vs.filler. (I enlarge the salad to my liking - by mixing in the container an extra diced hard-boiled egg per serving).
Decent egg salad, and it's already ready already for sandwiches and whatnot. Hawaiian bread, sharp cheddar, lettuce and this - YUM. It makes a delicious dip for tortilla chips too. FWIW I'm not sure prepared foods like this are covered under EBT anymore, even if they're not pre-heated. The NV DSS site hasn't been helpful about this so far. For whatever reason, this and a similar item got rung up on my debit card. If your finances are down to the last dollar like mine sometimes are, be careful about any EBT changes.
This Freshness Guaranteed Egg Salad is not bad, but it's very bland. Hardly any flavor. I have to scoop it out of the container and mix a little mustard and vinegar with it to make it have a taste. I can taked hard-boiled eggs, dice them, add a little prepared mustard, a little vinegar, a couple of tablespoons of Miracle Whip, and have a better tasting egg salad. The minor "convenience" of not having to dice the egg by using this product is not worth the price. Many people may like this bland mixture, but I do not. As I say, it's not bad, but in no way does it have a robust flavor.
I did not check the ingredient list for gluten when I added this item to my grocery order. I never imagined wheat would be added to egg salad! I did try some anyways. Bland. Had to give to my daughter's family to eat, due to the gluten content. She said she doctored it up with more mayo, mustart, sugar and pepper.
Very creamy but needs more eggs. Also has an "off" flavor, kinda sour. Luckily I bought this 12 oz pack of egg salad and a 16 oz original potato salad (which is pretty good). To keep from throwing the egg salad away, I mixed it with the potato salad. It worked, the two together was pretty good.
ive purchase walMart egg salad before, in a smaller size %26 it was just fine. However, this container was larger than what i had bought before even tho it looked the same. The taste however was horrible. It tasted like someone put a whole container of salt into the egg salad. i tried doctoring it up, as i like my egg salad with sweet relish bits, but it couldnt help it at all. i ate 3 bites %26 tossed it in the trash. Then i threw out the whole rest of the container as i didnt think it would get better with age. Im surprised it tasted like it did as in the past the smaller containers were fine, and i would add some sweet relish %26 viola; almost as good as homemade. i dont recommend buying this as it did not taste good at all.
Received and one had one day by use date the other had two days left. Wasted one whole one and half of the other, Item pickers are lazy when it comes to use by dates. The customer has no choice but to throw it away. Dealing with the store just creates headaches for me. "Freshness Guaranteed", what a load of bull. Pawning the stuff thats going bad on the delivery customers. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, NOT!
