My kids’ favorite doughnuts — their undisputed, undefeated favorite — are the chocolate ones. Normally, I buy the variety pack, the one with sprinkles, stripes, and seasonal chaos. And every single time, it turns into a gladiator tournament for the last chocolate doughnut. A full Shakespearean tragedy plays out in my kitchen: betrayal, dramatic monologues, someone clutching the empty box like it’s a prop from Hamlet. But today, my Walmart shopper made a commendable decision. A wise decision. A decision that prevented breakfast‑based warfare. He swapped the variety pack for pure chocolate. The moment that box opened, the usual gladiator spectacle vanished. No wrestling. No territorial standoffs. No “MOTHER, HE TOOK THE BIGGEST ONE.” Instead, my children entered a state of chocolate‑induced harmony so rare it felt like a Mat‑Su celestial event. And because this is Wasilla, the substitution triggered a chain of improbable local miracles: - Traffic wasn’t backed up, not even at the cursed spot where it always is. - The KGB potholes disappeared, as if the earth itself took a deep breath. - The McDonald’s ice cream machine worked, without excuses or attitude. - The valley tweakers took the day off, possibly in silent respect for the chocolate alignment. - Every muffler in the Wasilla Walmart parking lot was intact, a phenomenon never before recorded. - Monster trucks drove cautiously, like they’d been touched by grace. The doughnuts themselves? Soft. Chocolatey. Capable of restoring household peace faster than any parenting strategy I’ve ever attempted. Flavor notes include: - Rich chocolate - Undertones of “finally, something everyone agrees on” - A faint shimmer of “our shopper understood the assignment” This wasn’t just a substitution. It was a Wasilla Walmart miracle. A moment where the universe aligned, the children were satisfied, and the Valley behaved. Five stars. A commendable decision. A box of chocolate doughnuts that briefly healed the land.
I could eat 1/2 dozen at one sitting. Foe anytime, not just mornings. I like the texture. Some donuts are like biting into air. Not these they have substance. I really like the frosting. I put the leftovers in the fridge to last longer. I wish there is a way to warm them up without the frosting melting down to nothing. Overall I will buy again.
Finally after a couple of months trying to get these doughnuts delivered we finally have the goods so my husband can close his face hole and put his chocolate covered bread of death because they didn't have the half doz so I got the whole dozen as a substitute and now he's going to take this as a challenge and try to eat the whole box by tomorrow. Who's he in this imaginary race for the doughnuts with is besides me but I also don't like to be challenged so guess what challenge excepted…5 minutes later laying in bed with a belly ache from 2 bites of mine while he ate 2. Yeah I lost happily as long as I don't ever have to eat another one
THE BAKERY AT WAL MART IS INCREDITABIE THE DONUTS ARE SO FRESH AND VERY TASTY AND THE PRICE IS GREAT ALSO I ORDER THE 12 PACK AT A TIME BECAUSE I WRAP EACH ONE IN WAX PAPER AND THEN IN ALUIMIN FOIL AND FREEZE THEM AND EACH ONE IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE DAY I GIT THEM ON MY WAL MART ORDER
Obsessed with their donuts, but I got these instead of the variation Pak and the chocolate kinda got messy and I prefer the ones with some variation, but I'll eat a Walmart doughnut time of the day love them just check the fresh date. They're usually are but double check.
We've gotten these quite a few times. They were really good and fresh. The last package we got had a hole in the plastic film in the top ofthe box. The donuts were stale. The couple before this one, both boxes were stale even without any visible damages to the box. However, the one with the plastic film torn, was much worse. I forgot to request a refund on it. The other 2, we thought, it was just because they were cooked early morning and we got late night deliveries. If you get them, and they are fresh, they are delicious and a really good price deal compared to getting them elsewhere. Better than many standalone bakeries. I'll probably give them one more try, but if they're stale again delivered, I wont order again for delivery. I will only buy them in person from the store.
These are usually great. However, I received them via delivery today, and they were dry - they went out of date yesterday, so it’s clear they’ve been sitting on the shelf a few days. Those of us placing delivery and/or pickup orders should not get stuck with these out of date items those shopping in person skip over. This is not the first time this has happened with one item or another.
We received them Thursday's afternoon on Grocery Delivery. We are dinner then I serviced the donuts with ice cream. The donuts were so stale and hard we couldn't cut them with our fork. My son got a knife and had a hard time cutting the donut. I would like a fresh batch to try again. Either that or a refund.
Sealed box straight out of the bag at delivery was covered with small gnats. If the shopper was paying attention, they would have clearly seen the gnats through the clear window on the box. The entire unopened box went straight into the outside trash bin!
Very disappointed with this purchase. The donuts looked like the box had been dropped or mishandled during delivery. They were shifted around, with chocolate smeared throughout the box. On top of that, I found ants crawling inside the package, making the donuts completely unsafe to eat. This is a serious food safety issue. I had to throw the entire box away. I expected fresh, properly handled food from Walmart, but this experience was unacceptable.
