I used to order these often, however someone had the brilliant (not) idea to frost them which spoiled them so I stopped buying them. This time I hoped the photo was accurate and seemed to show a thon glaze, so I decided to give them another try. Thankfully, they were as I hoped, fresh, delicious and with a nice glaze, so I will be ordering my favorites often. 😥
This review is based on fresh same day eating. Something about the raspberry filling is super intense when combined with icing. I received two the same with a thick layer of white top icing/glaze. The filling is usually generous in each one. The best part of this offering is the guilt free recyclable/biodegradable paper boxes which can mostly be recycled, that is very important to me. I pull off the plastic window and cut away any part of the box that is not completely clean. I hate plastic donut shells and you should too.
These raspberry bismark donuts are hands down my favorite donuts. The donut itself is soft, fresh, and has just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. The raspberry filling is the best part because the jelly-to-donut ratio is perfect. You actually get filling in every bite without it being overwhelming or messy. My whole family loves these, so they never last long in my house. As soon as someone sees them, they're basically gone. Honestly, I like these better than a lot of chain donut shop donuts. They're simple, delicious, and always a treat. Definitely one of my favorite bakery items to grab from Walmart for breakfast.
My Walmart doesn't always have these jelly filled donuts but I buy them whenever they do. My favorite is the raspberry ones. They are soft and have plenty of jelly filling. Great for a quick breakfast. I highly recommend these. Please keep them in stock!
The raspberry filled donuts are usually good with a nice soft, fresh texture and a sweet/tart balance of flavor, but can be hit or miss. With the last delivery, they were a bit stale, so not as soft, but tolerable, and they were either packed upside down or jostled during delivery, so that the icing was all stuck to the plastic at the top of the box.
Horrible! Stale, covered with thick sugar syrup icing when they were NOT supposed to be iced. So little filling it was an issue to call them filled. Bottom line… don't buy if you expect to get a fresh, filled, tasty donut. You are NOT going to get one!
Don't waste your time with these. Half the time they're stale! They send out marketing emails to make you think they have them in stock but they don't. They pulled this nonsense on me today after yesterday's fiasco. No more chances! Time to say adios and go back to Publix!
You never get the ones shown in the picture on top of that they are always really old tasting. I don't know if these are sitting around for weeks on and frozen and then just unthaw or what but it seems like these are made frozen and then un thawed. They do not taste fresh at all. These are f terrible and only ordered them because options are very limited for bakery stuff so I was hoping for filled donuts but they f it up multiple f times and I'm just fed up. These are garbage don't order these especially online. Anywhere else has better and literally anywhere. Avoid at all cost unless you're into getting disappointed.
Freshness was totally not there. Expiration date next morning.received groceries delivered night before. So…expiration date was in 4 hours! I only ordered them because in each photo on your site, it showed 1 powdered sugar and one glazed. I don't care for glazed but was willing to forgo it in order to get the 1 powdered sugar bismark. Did not get it. In desperation I scraped the glaze off the already stale Bismark, hoping to at least salvage a couple of bites. Nope! At most, there was 1 tablespoon of some sort of red mystery goo. I'm m pretty annoyed to the max about this as it is an all too often occurrence. I stopped buying bread from you as I always got bread that expired the next day. I received a 3-5 lb. Bag of sweet potatoes, two were rotten and moldy It is ridiculous to return them, it would cost more in gas. . I recently ordered 2 aDozen flowers to give a friend. There were 6 missing and half wilted. I even took a photo. The store would not return them. I pay for delivery, I also tip. What do I end up with? Garbage.
When these are fresh they're pretty good, but recently, they have been stale and tasteless. You also don't get what you're supposed to get. There are no powdered and the frosting is so hard it shatters when you bite into it. I will not be ordering these again.
