I’m not someone who can stand for long periods of time. I love the convenience of my green onions already chopped. I save money actually, as typically I’d purchase a bunch, then end up throwing away, because they go slimy. I actually use these up, as I’m more inclined to add them to my eggs, my omelettes, tacos. I recommend for anyone. Fresh and easy.
If you need green onions in a recipe and don't want to chop them then this is your go item they are ready to use. Just open the container and measure out what you need. You can use them in a salad or in anything that you'd put green onions in to cook with your meal prep
So soggy with water every single time. I have given this product 'a chance' several times but they're drippy wet everytime. I wish whoever cuts these up would just let them dry 5-10 minutes before cutting and packaging them. They always get disgusting before I can use them all yet when I cut my own and put them in a mason jar, they stay great for a very long time. It's literally the copious amounts of 'wash water' in the container that is the problem.
Typically, I just get the stalk of green onions and chop them myself - so these were a substitute. Don't get me wrong, it was nice not having to chop them. They worked great in the few dishes I made. My only complaint is that they didn't last long at all. They started going bad only a couple days after I got them. So, I would just recommend using them asap.
These are really nice because they seem to last longer on the trip home vs the original ones you chop up on your own. Those I would get home and they would look like theyve been sitting out for a few days and no longer fresh. however, lately when doing online pickup, the shoppers grabbed some that are same day date and they were not looking good at all. opened up the container and they already had a smell to them and had to throw them away. was disappointed about this, need to use better judgement when picking produce for customers. I know i could just go in the store and do this on my own but sometimes unloading multiple kids to go in and get it just isn't ideal on somedays. otherwise the precut ones do work out well in this case.
Usually buy the stalks and cut them fresh myself. Hands hurt a bit last week, so decided to buy it precut, which they state is fresh. Sorry to review it as a "no" not buying it again. Its not that it tastes bad, its just bland. Flavor is lost shortly after you cut them and this is like eating grass in this container. I cannot in all honesty recommend buying it recut. Their stalks are always fresh anyways.
Even though I gave this low ratings, I would still recommend it. I love the convenience of it, but this was the fourth or fifth time I’ve purchased this item. This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed. It was a short shelf life. They were kind of soft and watery when I got them so just not happy with the items.
Walmart produce is alway alteady rotti g when you get ot especially if its the already chopped/cut and washed ones in containers. these arrived with brown slimy onion stalk pieces and the whole container was mushy and threw it all away. happens more often than not, getter real tired of being robbed by walmart. They weights are inaccurate a lot of the yine too so theyre already stealing from you even if the item is edible when it arrives.
There was a fake fingernail in the precut green onion. Started serving the main course and my husband bit into something that was hard. He spit it out and it was a fake fingernail (gray in color). Made us both sick to our stomachs. Both started gagging. It was gross!
Onions are slimy and unusable. Second time this has happened with this product. I let it slide the last time I ordered. I have bought them in store and they were just fine. I have also left them behind before because they were slime. I love this product when it looks fresh and it’s lasted several days in my frig.
