This was our favorite but now will wait until price comes down. It used to be our $1 loaf but now at $1.62 and was $1.42 just a month ago. I don't know if this is the app trying to see how much I'll pay but they need to stop dynamic pricing and price items as they are. Was great while it lasted but not buying until they stop this dynamic price stuff!
Taste great! Will mold quick so should use within a few days or do like i do and freeze half. Note two of my tricks to preserve longer. 1. As soon as i get the loaf home i open the bag and let air for a few hours, before putting away. 2. When thawing from freezer, remove bread from bag and let thaw uncovered making sure bottom gets air also.
u went up on the price. but then everything is gone up. I only have social security to live on. 8 hundred doesn't go very far. after rent gets paid. i don't get no help. once in a seldom great while, maybe my kid will surprise me. but hardly ever
When I opened the bag and took out 4 slices I saw a huge hole in the rest of the loaf!!! The hole got bigger as i took out more slices. I couldn't even make sandwiches, there wasn't enough in each piece to hold onto anything! If the bakery is trying to use less ingredients by placing something inside the pan to take up space, shame on you! I will go back to buying name brand bread, not from your bakery. So disappointed because what I did eat of a slice tasted good.
I am not pleased with this bread- if i do not refrigerate it immediately within 2 days, there is mold all over it... I prefer my bread at room temperature, soft and moist, not hard and cold.. I am also very unhappy with the games that are being played with pricing. At first, it was a dollar a loaf, and that made it a good value, even if I had to keep it in the fridge. Then BOOM, it is 1.47 and less of a value, and at my last purchase, it was now 1.67... the price increases for everyday items, even at Walmart, are ridiculous. As a senior living on a fixed income, the rate of inflation is greater than our advance to a new amount each year. I am living in dread of the time that I will be struggling for both food and shelter. To have to throw away a loaf of bread after 3 days is a waste that I can no longer afford.
I ordered this for sandwiches because it said thin sliced and I was looking for a different flavor then regular bread. the first couple of slices was good we're okay and then all the way through there is no bread in the center of the slices at all. you can't put mayonnaise on them I couldn't even make post if I were going to use it for spaghetti. never again
PRETTY SLICK MOVE WALMART! I should not have received this. No one should receive this. This should not even be on the shelf to sell. If you want me to continue using the Delivery service you’re going to have to educate your employee shoppers to not “pick” an item you wouldn’t buy yourself. I’m going to throw it out. I’m not feeding this to my family. I received shriveled up grape tomatoes last week. Deli ham that didn’t last but 3 days. Are your customers being sold items that an “in person” shopper wouldn’t buy? I’m sick of this!
By way of explanation before you say that I should check date before purchase. I have to get my groceries by home delivery which means that the Walmart shopper is responsible for putting this in my order. I enjoy grilled toasted Italian bread which is why I keep getting it even though I have yet to get a loaf that I'd consider FRESH. They're each time just a few hours from the, best by date, I would like to believe that this is just happenstance, but it's looking more like being taken advantage of since I'm unable to do my own shopping. I think this may be the 6th time I've purchased Italian bread from the bakery. Sorry I don't know how to put a photo of the package label on my computer.
I loved walmarts bakery items until recently. Now every time I order via grocery delivery walmart gives me the oldest possible bread and buns and the bags have multiple holes! I have returned them twice already. This latest THIRD time, walmart has decided NOT to refund my $4.00 worth of "Freshness Guaranteed" bakery items unless I bring them back to the store. Being in a power wheelchair I have no way to get over there to do so. Which is why I pay extra to get DELIVERY! Well congratulations WALMART. I will now buy my groceries from Piggly Wiggly, it's closer to my home. Keep my $4.00 since it seems VERY important to your multi-billion dollar corporation. I am not digging your dry, molding bread out of the dumpster to bring it 15 miles back to your store.
Your bread loafs sliced and non-sliced were 100% great when $1. Now I see its 1.67?! 67% increase in 2025/2026? You make this bread, so why the increase? These are small, soft (most of the time) and limited shelf life.
