It took me four minutes to order my supplies, and it was here delivered to my house within a half an hour. I had just gotten home from work and was in my pajamas, so I'm glad I didn't have to answer the door and things were just dropped off. I did yell "Thank you!" And my driver told me to have a good day. That's really good customer service!

I discovered this bread accidentally when Walmart was out of its bakery sliced Italian bread and they substituted this. It's much better. You won't get many slices because the slices are about twice as thick as the Walmart brand, but they taste much better. Note that the larger slices won't fit into a standard toaster; I bought a long-slot toaster just to accomodate this bread (see my review of the toaster). You can tell the ingredients are of high quality because it toasts very well; cheap breads tend to burn regardless of the toaster setting because they don't contain enough moisture. It's a tad expensive, triple the Walmart brand, but hey, for us rich guys price is no object when it comes to fine cuisine.

The main problem with this bread is the huge air pocket that often runs through it rendering that loaf unusable! We play a game in my house - will it or won't it? One in three loaves are a bread shell - crust and nothing inside. Also, don't order for delivery - you will get barely in date or about to be. Typical to all Walmart delivery fresh items sadly.

It is hard and not soft like you expect Italian Bread. Hard to bite and chew if you have teeth problems. I love Italian Bread and would never buy thus again orvrecommend it.

Do NOT recommend

Trayce December 10, 2025

This bread is soooo dry. Great for a sandwich if you wanna choke on it! I heated it for 11 seconds in micro to soften—that had zero effect. The slices even started to break apart as I ate my sandwich. I invest a lot into my sandwiches, choosing select meats, cheeses, veggies and dressings (they're cheaper and better than what I can get eating out). A high quality bread is the foundation. This stuff is a miserable failure especially considering its price tag. I don't think it was overcooked. Maybe the recipe is bad but I suspect storage may be an issue. Do they bake then freeze these loaves to put on the shelf later? Freezing breads can really dry them out and is not feasible for some types of bread—they deteriorate badly, especially if they're frozen in super thin plastic bags that aren't air tight. After choking down one arid sandwich the only possible solution for this loaf is to invest more ingredients, time, and energy to make bread pudding or simple French toast. That wasn't part of my menu plans but delicious sandwiches were. So now I must shop again.

Disappointed!

Patty April 10, 2025

Rarely do I leave a review but this bread does not taste good and was no where near the expiration date but tasted old and stale. Definitely not worth the price! I ordered 1.00 bread which is very good but this was a substitute for the my item not available.

That was terrible bread. Crust wasn't crunchy, it was very dry. Yulk and exspensive. They were out of the $1.49 Italian bread so they substituted it. Very unhappy.

I DETEST this bread!

Dora November 8, 2025

Twice the cost of a regular loaf of bakery bread for less bread and HORRIBLE quality. 100% will never purchase again. It's DRY and TASTES BAD as though it was left out for hours after being sliced.
