the freshness, texture, and flavor of these make them perfect for eating raw or cooked. this pkt was used in omelettes, breakfast burritos, cooked with chicken, topped turkey burgers, and put into a baked veggie medley. mushrooms are so versatile! recommend!
I bought these sliced white mushrooms expecting a mild fungal experience — maybe a stir-fry, a pizza topping, nothing wild. But oh no. These fungi? They slayed. First off, they’re pre-sliced, which means I don’t have to risk my fingers doing samurai moves with a knife. Thanks to them, I still have all 10 digits and a full fridge. Texture? Soft like clouds doing yoga. Taste? Subtle, earthy, and vaguely like they know secrets about the forest. I sautéed them with butter and garlic, and they became so delicious my cat tried to claim them. (He’s not even allowed mushrooms. Don’t tell his vet.) My only complaint is that they disappear too fast. Like one minute they’re in the pan, and the next minute they’ve mysteriously vanished into my mouth. Suspicious. In conclusion: these mushrooms are the unsung heroes of the vegetable drawer (yes, I know they’re technically fungi — calm down, science people). Buy them. Eat them. Become one with shroom!
These are in my regular rotation. They're quick to prep, sauteed in olive oil %26 garlic for pizza, as topping for toast w/sweet onions or added to sandwiches. Where I find them somewhat lacking is in color %26 firmness for salads or kebabs. Nonetheless
I do not recommend anyone getting delivery where someone else is doing your shopping to get any fresh produce. It is hit or miss. I get so tired of complaining that I sometimes eat the loss. Walmart will tag you as "Walmart Abuse." It isn't abuse to lodge valid complaints, and it isn't abuse to expect that your fresh produce isn't already rotten.
I should have learned my lesson last time about placing an order for mushroom through Walmart it’s like they pick the oldest mushrooms. They always go bad with. 2 days and there is not expiration date that I can see on the package. I received my order June 28th and here we are June 30 and they are slimy and smell like fish. Don’t chance it ppl unless you going to go in and pick them up yourself.
I guess when Walmart says guaranteed freshness, they don't know what they're talking about? because one day later, it had blackish spots all over the mushrooms and when I reached in to see if there's any good ones at the bottom they were really slimy. I know I won't be ordering that again!
seems like whoever does the shopping for delivery orders has no respect for me or or anyone else,,I can't drive ,I barely can leave my apartment,so why pick out rotten mushrooms, or the brownest bananas? I can't return them if I could return I would be able to shop
I just got these and look how ugly they are I just can't believe it this is how you deliver your food or hand out your food when people pay... money is not growing out of a tree for me 😭... if there was a refund I would take my money back on this. but of course I cannot drive I'm in a boot this is why I have it delivered I was hoping I could have people know how to do their job but apparently the people you hire cannot do their job 😠. please understand thank you
I buy white mushrooms very often as I eat them daily. They are often already turning brown %26 slimy when they get delivered. If I could afford to buy them elsewhere, I would!! When I’ve bought them from Price Chopper they are wonderful, fresh, %26 still white as well as dry. They are more expensive there but so much better quality, sadly.
Mushrooms were not okay. Mushy, gray and had a bad smell. They were swimming in liquid. Oranges had a bad spot and soft Donut box broke open and thy were all in the bottom of the bag. Very disappointed in delivery considering all other deliveries have been great.
