As with most item reviews on Walmart, people will base them on their delivery experience and not the actual products themselves. It's also important to remember that things like bakery items among others made in store and are subject to differences based on time of day, location. Having said that, these plain sugar cookies that I bought on rollback and received are as expected: delicious and chewy texture and not too sweet (this is why I buy plain and unfrosted) with just a little bit of sanding sugar on top. Delicious and a great value.
So cute I'm glad I bought it. It would make a nice gift for a child or an elderly person. It's nice that it had the strip over the battery so when you want to use it, you can pull that out and throw it away. It makes it so the battery doesn't get worn out too soon and they're soft and fluffy cows. I bought two one brown and one white with black spots. They also moo like a cow pretty awesome.
I get these all the time and usually have no problem. The past two times I have gotten this product, the cookies were out of date and had started to get hard. If I had gotten them in store, I would have seen the date, but curbside shoppers I guess do not look at the dates.
I used to buy Wal-Mart cookies all the time, and they were just right with the texture.. I guess these were okay compared to the Cinnamon Raisin ones. They didn't even say "Chewy" on them, neither. I bought another flavor—besides these and the Cinnamon Raisin ones—but they were the same way but not as bad as the the Cinnamon Raisin ones.. Unfortunately, I have to give them the same Rating/Review as this. If it wasn't for the softness, I think I would've loved them; especially these and the Peanut Butter ones.. but, I just can't get passed that! I don't like chewy cookies, I don't like them hard, neither.. I like them in-between—Just right, like Goldilocks!
The taste is there but Every time we get these, they are never fresh and always stale. They need to switch back to how they use to make these in those yellow boxes. These containers are not sealable so anyone can just open them in store. Not sanitary! So maybe bakery options have these containers now!
Yuck. I did not like these. They were edible, just barely, they expired the day after they were delivered so they were not fresh, not fresh at all. The flavor is kind of OK but did not remind me of a sugar cookie. Originally I think they were soft but by the time I got them they were kind of hard and crusty. I also don't like it that they have raised the price so high on these cookies and only give you 10. It feels like I'm being taken advantage of paying more and getting less. I will not be buying these again.
These sugar cookies were soft. That was the only thing good about them. Tasted too much like butter. They must've made them out of the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix that I bought once and threw the cookies away after baking them. Way too much butter; they only tasted like butter, as these do.
I ordered snickerdoodles, which have been good in the past. They were out of snickerdoodles apparently. Thess sugar cookies were substituted, and I've had them before. They are terrible. I love a good sugar cookie, but these are terrible. I feel like they are fresh, but the way they are made, they are not good. The texture is awful. Grainy, not moist and soft. They need to try another recipie
Sugar cookies are my favorite cookies. I have purchased these many times from Walmart and they were really fresh and soft. Yesterday (1.21.26), I ordered some with my delivery and this time, they were stale and hard. They are inedible. What a disappointment and waste of money on something that is supposed to be "guaranteed fresh!"
Hard as a rock but supposed to be fresh. Ordered the snickerdoodles at the same time with the same "freshness date". The snickerdoodles were fresh but the sugar cookies were so hard you could drive a nail with them. Like hard tack from a Civil War encampment.
