I love this bread. It usually only lasts one day as I just can't stop ripping chunks off and eating it. It is sometimes in short supply, so even though I highly recommend this bread, I hope that I can still get this with more people buying it as well.
This is delicious. Perfect. The white is also good. But, I noticed it went up in price .47. A lot of items have. I was just telling my daughter about how affordable it was when the next week it went up. 😵💫 And now it's smaller. . People who shop will definitely notice.
Freshness Guaranteed Wheat French Bread is named appropriately, as it was delivered well wrapped %26 so fresh. It was very soft so it was easy to slice. Also, this bread had a great taste! From Walmart online, the bread was reasonably priced too.
The Walmart bakery French loafs have become a staple in iur home. They go well (warm or toasted) with roasted chicken or beef, and make good garlic bread to go with spaghetti, lasagna and other Italian favorites. And sub sandwiches on French bread taste great, hot or cold.
This wheat French bread is great. They just never have enuff of it. I buy two, sliced them up, freeze them. They are good to have for breakfast, dinner and or with toppings, even good for slider sandwiches. Lots of ideas to use this wheat French bread, but use it quickly or slice and freeze it. Fresh bake doesn't last long.
Bakery breads at Walmart vary from Store to Store; I have had bread that tastes like sawdust, cardboard, to Thank you Walmart for providing the essentials of Life GOD wants us to have. I am fortunate to have a Walmart that supplies good bread. I haven't seen the Challah bread so I buy the whole wheat. The French and Italian loaves are also good; I like the Consistent quality and taste of the whole wheat; I don't have to worry did I buy an indestructible Twinkie loaf or bath sponge or something good to eat for My body; Walmart Bakery bread is the right size to break bread alone and with friends and family; what wont fit the container will fit in the fridge and freezer without tasting funky when heated or thawed cut to size for croutons toast, subs, pitza
This bread is good if you like a tougher, denser wheat bread. And it is fresh of preservatives, which is a plus. But since it is not full of shelf bread junk you must use it in less than 5 days for freshness. It slices very well. It would make a nice cold cut sandwich and sturdy for burgers. But, I needed a softer bread for what I was doing - pizza bread. And the flavor is not good for that, either. I will stick to the regular loaves for pizza, garlic bread and cinnamon bread.
French bread is not wheat bread, so this does not taste exactly like French bread. However, it still tastes good. I have purchased this a few times, so obviously I like it. It is great cut down and served with dip, but also wonderful when used to make a grinder.
I cannot eat gluten! I may have forgotten to mark no substitutions but never should wheat bread be sent as a substitution. So many are allergic to gluten, myself included. I wll have to throw this bread in the trash. The regular french bread I order has gluten but not whole wheat, the bread I received is dark brown and covered with wheat seeds!! I would appreciated a regular sliced loaf of french bread delivered asap as I have guests coming for dinner tomorrow and I do not have a car to handle this myself.
I'm very disappointed with Walmart. These loaves use to be 1.00 each. You raised them 50% more on each loaf! Not 10%, or 20% but 50%! That's how you treat your plus members? And your loyal customers? I order once a week sometimes more. Also the loaves are smaller in comparison with them before your ridiculous rate hike! I may have to cancel my membership and look for an alternative online shopping and delivery store as I am disabled. Again I want to emphasize my disappointment in Walmart.
