I'm so glad I recently discovered Bolillos. I had never heard of them before, but they're delicious! And so unique! They're hard to describe - a combination of a chewy fresh bread heel, soft inside, a little like a crescent roll but not eggy, a little spongy, crossed with choux pastry. The shape is unique too and makes them versatile. I can slice them for sandwiches, pull apart and stick a sausage inside the cavity, just eat them with butter as dinner rolls along with spaghetti or a meat dish. You will want to eat them within a day or two or put them in the fridge to last a couple more days, but any fresh bread which has natural moisture and doesn't contain the nasty chemical preservatives needed for long-term storage, which is what makes it better bread, is not going to last weeks without getting mold. So buy them fresh and eat them fresh. They're wonderful!
I don't know why there are so many bad reviews because these rolls are really good! I am very picky, seriously but these are tasty. I freeze them individually and take one out at a time, butter and warm for 10-15 seconds and perfection. All my local stores stopped carrying whole wheat dinner rolls except one expensive and not very good brand. I am happy and hope these continue being good and a good price too.
These are amazing fresh, soft and DELICIOUS 😋.... They stay fresh and soft for quite a bit longer than most breads. We just discovered this product and will continue to buy it....
I usually don't get bakery items packaged on the day I purchased them, so I was grateful to the shopper for selecting an item with more than a day or so for me to fully enjoy. The outside of the bread has a nice bite to it. The inside of the bread is soft, just wish it was a little thicker and had a longer "best if used by" duration. Is it the softest bread ever? No. But it provides a nice balance from the outside of the bread. The bread is flavorful as far as wheat bread goes. The bread also slices easily. It's definitely worth the try if you're craving a semi hearty, slightly sloppy sandwich (meat, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, condiments, pickles jalapeños).
Rolls were not fresh. Purchased on 6/21/26 expired 6/22/26. That's been an issue with my online orders! I don't always complain but will do so from now on. This is terrible when grocery prices are so high! Please do better with sending fresh items!
This bakery style bread is always stale and almost out of date nowadays. Never fresh ...that is what it becomes if you don't make it in the store. They all do it out of store now. Microwaves don't even soften them up. But I still fight once in a while for that taste for the good ol' sandwich on the bread I used to love.
Really tired of the things I need not being available when I order! And being charged for shipping when I don't have the minimum amount for free delivery because I'm ordering stuff you didn't have when I ordered initially! With all the tracking information you have you could track what I've ordered that you didn't have! It's bullcrap!
It was delivered under a bunch of cans, so the Bolio came in very poor quality, not previously seen before in other stores. We bought believe you're from Walmart before, but this is horrible. Plus missing three bags, which is a horrible condition. I wish I can send you pictures of what exactly these look like.
Portion size has significantly decreased on the bolillos but the price hasn't decreased at all. Picture attached showing drastic change in size and we buy these weekly. Walmart trying to pull one over on the consumer. Maybe instead of doing crap like that, you could packing a thing of 5 pens in its own bag. Had a thing of sausages in its own bag, could be in same bag as the double bagged chicken.
These are nothing like real bolillos. Texture is too soft like highly processed factory made bread. I don't believe they are actually baking these nor are they using quality ingredients. Real bread should have a tough outer exterior.
